CHAPTER SEVEN

↪KEGGER↩

THE GROUP OF teens decided that it would be best to lay low for a while, and what better way to lay low than throw a kegger, Pogue-style. The word of the party spread quickly, and just like any of the keggers the Pogues threw, the boneyard was filled with Pogues, Kooks and Tourons alike.

Currently, Lyssa and JJ were engaged in a drinking game. Their arms were crossed with each other, tipping the cold contents of the red solo cups into each others mouth. They finished without spilling a single drop, the small group around them cheering and hollering in excitement for their skills. JJ gave his best friend a double high-five, watching as she smiled brightly - clearly in her element.

She began to walk off to grab another cup but JJ clasped his hand, lightly around her arm. He twirled her around and dragged her body into his. She let out a surprised gasp as her chest collided with his. Her body felt as if it was on fire as his hand slowly traced up her arm and towards her collarbone.

He tucked a curly strand of her hair behind her ear, a smirk twisted upon his lips as he watched Lyssa's slowly part hers. "Don't do anything stupid, baby." he whispered lowly, the smirk growing wider as realization dawned upon Lyssa.

"Fuck off, Maybank." she spat out, walking further into the party - trying to get away from the embarrassment she endured, because deep down she wanted to kiss him.

The night sky dawned over the boneyard, the teenagers buzzed states were quickly replaced into outright drunks. The Pogues had all went their separate ways. Currently, Lyssa was dancing on an washed up log, trying desperately to catch JJ's attention. But he was too busy flirting with a touron. Her jaw ticked every time she looked his way, and she did everything in her power to not walk up to the girl and punch her in the face. So she opted for the juul and alcohol in either of her hand to keep her company, and make her feel happy as if she was really enjoying herself. She hadn't notice every so often there were a set of ocean blue eyes looking at her.
