Coach Ukai: So Kageyama how are you feeling?

Me: Oh uh better

Coach Ukai: Well that's good, you'll be able to practice again soon

Me: Yeah

Coach Ukai: So you and Hinata huh

Me: W- What?!

Coach Ukai: *laughs* I'm just messing around calm down

Me: Y- yeah

I watched Hinata more than everyone else and he seemed to be getting really good. He must have been practicing a lot while I was in the hospital.

Coach Ukai: You're watching Hinata aren't you?

Me: Oh uh yeah

Coach Ukai: He's been in this gym almost everyday since you've been in the hospital. He said that he wanted to get better than you

Me: That's not fair! I was in the hospital *stands up* Hinata!

*Hinata looks my way*

Me: One on one me and you *walks onto the court*

Hinata: But Kageyama you need to rest for a little b-

Me: Forget about that come on

Sugawara: *stands in front of me* Turn around and go sit on the bench

Me: But I want to play

Sugawara: Kageyama *points to the bench* Please go sit we don't want you back in the hospital

Me: Bu-

Sugawara: Come on let's go *grabs my arm and takes me to the bench* Now sit

I sit down giving him a dirty look. Everyone else goes back to practicing.

Coach Ukai: Did you really think you'd make it far?

Me: Well I made it further than I thought I would

Coach Ukai: How about this you can come back to practice in three weeks, but you have to promise me that you'll rest and take care of yourself

Me: Wait really?!

Coach Ukai: Yes

Me: I promise I'll take care of myself and get plenty of rest

Coach Ukai: Ok well practice is about to end why don't you head home

Me: Can I stay until they go home?

Coach Ukai: *smiles* Go for it *stands up* Ok everyone come sit down!

*everyone sits down in front of Coach Ukai*

Coach Ukai: Ok you guys did good today in practice I hope to see you guys put in the same effort tomorrow, Kageyama will be sitting out for the next three weeks or so depending if the hospital says he can play or not. With that you all can go home

Everyone gets up and grabs their bags. I walked over to Hinata who was grabbing his bag.

Me: How are you shorty?

Hinata: *turns around and looks up at me* I told you to stop calling me that

Me: Yeah Yeah whatever

We walk outside and start walking home.

Hinata: So you're telling me that you woke up from your coma a couple days ago or whatever and left the hospital today?!

Me: Yeah

Hinata: Why didn't you call me?

Me: Well I was going to but I fell asleep

Hinata: Well it doesn't matter I'm just happy your out of that place

Me: So you've been practicing everyday huh

Hinata: Yeah, but only because I wanted to take my mind off you. Oh it didn't help *laughs*

Me: What do you mean?

Hinata: Well when I left that day after visiting you I was told I couldn't see you until you woke up. So I came to the gym everyday and practiced to get my mind off of you. It worked for a little bit but after a couple days you were all I thought about.

Me: Oh

Hinata: Oh yeah *reaches into his bag* I wanted to give this back to you *hands me my hoodie*

Me: Oh thanks *smiles*

Hinata: Yeah I've had it for a while and told myself-

Me: Don't make it a sappy story

Hinata: Nevermind then *nervous laugh*

Me: Well this is my house I'll see you tomorrow at practice

Hinata: Wait you aren't going to school?

Me: I can't my dad says I need to stay home during school

Hinata: Oh well yeah I'll see you tomorrow at practice *hugs me*

I hug him back. He pulls away and runs home. I walk inside and see my dad sitting on the couch.

My Dad: Your late

Me: Sorry Hinata was walking slow

My Dad: Ok just go upstairs and get some rest, the hospital called and said you can go back to school next week. Now things with volleyball they said you will be sitting out for the rest of the year.

I freeze as I'm about to walk up the stairs. I turn around and look at my father.
