Part 23

My Dad: I want you to know that I'm not mad at you for dating a guy. To be honest I don't care who you date as long as you are happy.

I look at him confused. He lets go of my arm.

My Dad: Now you too go to school

He walks back inside, shutting the door behind him. I turned around and faced Hinata with a smile on his face.

Me: *rolls eyes*

Hinata: I told you

Me: Oh just shut it *puts arm around his shoulders* Let's just go before we're to late

I put my arm around him and we walked to school. Luckily we only missed our morning class, which for me wasn't too bad. We each walk to our second class that we have together and sit down. His seat was in front of me.

Teacher: Ok I need everyone to take their seat and listen up *places bag next to desk* For the next couple weeks we will be preparing for finals. As you probably know you only have 2 months left of school, (AN: Yeah it probably doesn't seem it but you know whatever idc lol) For the next four weeks we'll study for finals, then after this month ends you will take a test everyday until the second to last day when you'll take your finals.

Class: *groans*

Teacher: I know it doesn't sound fun but all of your teachers agreed to this. We also agreed to not give you guys any homework-

Class: YAY!

Teacher: I know I know *laughs* But that's only because you will be doing a lot of studying during school. You might have to study a bit if you miss a day. So Kageyama I know you've been out for quite some time so you'll have to catch up

Me: *nods*

Teacher: Ok we'll start by going over...

I zone out while the teacher was talking and kind of drew on the piece of paper in front of me. Once I started drawing I realized I was drawing Hinata. I continued until I finished.

I tuck the picture in my folder and look up at the board. The teacher was writing stuff on the board. I pull another piece of paper out and try to copy the notes down before she erases it. I got most of it copied but she erased the rest. I tap Hinata on the shoulder and he turns around.

Me: Did you write all that?

Hinata: Yup *shows me paper*

Me: Can I copy?

Hinata: Sure *drops paper on my desk*

Me: Thank you

Hinata: *smiles*

I copy the rest of the notes and hand Hinata the paper back.

Teacher: I'm hoping everyone got that written down because you will need to study that for finals

Each class was the same thing, finals this finals that. That's all they were talking about. It was the end of the day and me and Hinata walked to the gym for practice. Well I'm watching but same thing. A couple minutes later everyone else from the team comes in. Coach Ukai sits on the bench and tells everyone to run a couple laps and then stretch.

Me: Coach can I join them? I promise I'll be careful

He pauses and thinks before answering me. I really wanted to warm up with them even if I wasn't going to play. I felt useless just sitting around watching them. I wanted to play.

Coach Ukai: Sure but do not get hurt you understand me

Me: Yes sir!

I ran and joined the rest of the guys who patted me on the back and smiled as we continued to run three more laps. I was behind everyone and was getting slower. I picked up my pace, gaining speed and catching up to Hinata. He looks up at me and smiles. I give him a small grin and pick up my pace running ahead of everyone.

Hinata: Hey wait up!

I turn my head around and smile, I face forward and run faster. (AN:they're running outside btw lol) I was getting tired and was pretty far from everyone. I stop and hunch over breathing heavily. I wipe the sweat off my face and wait for everyone. I waited a bit but no one came. I started walking back to the gym. I see Hinata walking up the hill. When he notices me he runs up to me.

Hinata: Are you ok?

Me: Uh yeah

Hinata: Why did you push yourself? You could've gotten hurt!

Me: I'm fine ok *walks past him*

Hinata: Yeah but when I ran ahead and didn't see you I thought you got hurt and panicked. Please don't ever do that to me again

He puts his arms around my waist stopping me from walking any further. I turn and look down at him. Why did he care so much about me? It's not like I'm that important anyways.

Me: Yeah sure let's head back ok

Hinata: Y- yeah

He lets go and we jog back to the gym. Everyone was waiting for us. Hinata joins them and they start stretching. I sit on the bench to try and catch my breath. I watch them as they start practicing and all that.

Me: Coach Ukai do we have any practice games with the other teams?

Coach Ukai: Hm I think we have one tomorrow, oh shoot maybe I should tell them to *stands up* Ok I need everyone to stop what they're doing and come over here!

Everyone gathers around.

Nishinoya: What is it, Coach?

Coach Ukai: Tomorrow we have a practice game with Shiratorizawa, I want all of you to give it your all

Tanaka: You don't have to worry about me coach! I'll give it my all!

Daichi: What about Kageyama will he be able to play?

I looked at Coach Ukai when Daichi said that. I wanted to play but I knew what the answer was.
