Daniel arrived at the place he told the contacts who responded to meet up.
"Thank you all for coming, as you all know, the Sirens bombarded our coast and the shipgirls you've heard about, have been all but destroyed." He explains as he took a deep breath.
"I'm not sure if any of you had a personal connection to any of them, but I had a mom in the form of an Aircraft Carrier, when I called home, my dad told me that she stayed out to ensure my safety instead of taking her rigging with her as some of the base evacuated, her name was Yorktown and she just like any others sacrificed her life for the safety of others, but I believe that we should fight in their memories!" He said before stopping and walked away when he heard a familiar sound of an eagle.
He takes a deep breath and whistles loud enough. "Liberty!" The eagle looks at the ground and recognizes the person waving at her before flying towards him.
As the eagle came closer, he saw that she was carrying something in her feet before finally reaching the ground.
"Liberty! You survived!" Daniel exclaimed as he grabs the eagle before focusing on the baggage the eagle had.
When he opened the baggage, he saw a plush that looked like the late Yorktown and grabs it as he remembers the first time he saw it.
Flashback:
"But mama Yorktown, who would tuck me in at night with you out on patrol?" A four year old Daniel asked
"Before Belfast left I asked her to make you something." Yorktown said as she took out a bag.
"What is it?" He asked curiously as Yorktown handed him a plush.
"But mama Yorktown, why does it look like you?" He asked as Yorktown smiled.
"It's for moments like these that whenever I can't tuck you in, every time you hold it, near your heart, just think of me." She explained as she leaned over and gave Daniel a kiss on the forehead.
"Sleep tight, my child." She said as Daniel held the plush as close to him before she left as she closes the door behind her.
Now:
"Daniel, you alright?" Leo asked causing Daniel to snap out of his trance
"Yeah but I want no one near my stuff they're personal." He said as he gets Liberty onto his arm and grabs the stuff that Liberty had.
Elsewhere:
Enterprise huffed as she finished destroying a fleet of Sirens.
"I know I'm due back at port, but everyone thinks that we're all dead and somehow, I must survive by scavenging through the wreckage and somehow I feel like I'm getting stronger." Enterprise thought to herself as she looks around for any useful parts while looking for the Siren's blackbox.
Hours later, Enterprise brings out her ship and began to start the repair work. "I sure do miss getting my repairs but with no base I just have to do it myself."
Unkown to her, was that two other shipgirls were thinking the same thing before setting course back to what her main base was located.
