The Crown
The day before the Ball, Isabella was trying on dresses and was having a hard to choosing which one. When the servants brought in a mother dress for her to try, she knew that this was the one. It got her so perfectly like it down just for her. "Wow, My dear this one... is the one!" Her lady friends clapped in awe of her dress along with her mother and the rest of the family. Even Marcus loved the cream colored pearl dress she was in, standing before him. Just when she turned around and back to her dressing room. She heard a very loud RIP, suddenly everyone behind her bag an gasping in shock. Her dress had torn, just when she found the perfect dress her heal had stepped on the long hem and torn the side. "What am I supposed to do now!? There is so much to do, and there is no time to go to the tailor." Isabella frowned.
The day of the ball came and Isabella her mother Rita had managed to find another dress. It was not as beautiful it was still eye-catching. "Isabella." She heard her name being called by her husband Marcus who was standing behind her with her dress in his hand. "I fixed it mi amor, I arranged to meet with the tailor very early this morning and she was able to get it done just in time." Isabella did not know how to thank him, he knew how much the dress meant to her so he even gave up some of his time time to help his dear wife, and that was love.

Helene Ilbrando rushed towards her daughters room with anger and shock. What she was about to tell her would break her heart. She pushed her door open, interrupting Gabriella who was speaking to Denissa and yelled, "Get out! You poor slave girl."
Confused Gabriella walked out of the room. Had she done something wrong to displease Mrs. Helene? Shrugging it off she went back to her room to talk to the righteous King and ask him to protect her and guide her through whatever is going to come.
"Denissa we must come up with a plan urgently." Helene said.
"Why mama? What is happening?" She asked her mother. She had just sent Gabriella away and was now walking back and forth in the room.
"I overheard the prince and his advisor talking in the corridor about how he is going to propose to either you or that filthy black girl you call a court maid. My eyes widened at first to the thought of him even looking at her for more than a minute. But now he is actually considering taking her hand in marriage? Ha! He has lost his mind."
"Mama, I do not understand. Is he being threatened or blackmailed to choose between me and her? She could not even be compared to most of the servant girls I see here everyday more, me."
"My dear, he was expressing his love for her. I could not bare to listen for I could have vomited. It is truly a disgust! I told you that she would ruin all our plans and soon your future Denissa. I told you years ago to sell her away!"
Denissa squeezed her eyes shut in unbelief. It could not me true. Surely prince Manuel was being controlled by the evil witch but Jezebeth was not interested in that sort of manipulation.
"Mama, we are not at loss yet. I have an idea." Denissa said, glancing through the window.

"Gabriella." Aaron greeted her with a smile as he stood at the entrance of her room. The two had become quite good friends.
"Ah, good afternoon Aaron." She greeted back. She was sewing a baby blue dress and Aaron could not feel anymore sorry for her. As Lady Denissa's "court maid" she was supposed to have many dresses, jewelry and shoes to choose from but Denissa did not seem to care.
