The Crown
After all the blood, sweat, tears, bones, strength, joy, and love. The good prince's work was finished down earth and it was time to ascend back to His Kingdom in the Heavens above. His brothers and sisters were sad and did not want Him to leave but He promised them that He was watching over them from His Kingdom. He would also be in their hearts, He would never leave them. He told them that each of them had a throne in his Kingdom and that he would be waiting to crown them as princes and princesses in his Kingdom of love. This gave them hope, and they promised the good prince to continue sharing his love around the world, so that more people may join His Kingdom and be part of His royal family.
Three Months Later
This was the day the kingdom and the whole country of Spain had been waiting for since a year ago. Through the rough times and the good times, through the best and the worst. The one day they were looking forward to would remind them to love their country and themselves always, Coronation Day.
"Brother, you could not look any more handsome." Prince Aaron smiled at Manuel's image in the mirror. There they stood, shoulder to shoulder, Manuel in his royal red regalia uniform, next to him in black. But I think your hair needs a trim." Aaron chuckled. Manuel's hair was reaching his neck and he seemed to enjoy the new look. It reminded him of his father. Manuel rolled his eyes. "Gabriella constantly praises it. If I cut it, it will only be by her will."
"You are finally becoming King. I cannot believe it." Aaron said. "And because you are my brother, I will make a new order that everyone in Spain must call you 'prince Aaron' or 'my Lord' from now on," Manuel said it, meaning it with his whole heart. He did not know how much Aaron appreciated him.
"I have something I must give you, the royal inspector found it under the red carpet on the grand stairs, there was a broken stone with a hidden hole beneath it. It was discovered this morning." Aaron handed Manuel a cream white letter that was stamped with their red royal lion symbol. Manuel opened the letter immediately knowing who it was from, his father."
Dear Manuel, you have found this letter because of two things, I am dead or you still continue to play those childish games such as hide and seek. One day you will become king and I fear that I will not be there to see it. So here I am on a boring, rainy day writing to my son what I would tell him on the day of his coronation. Emmanuel Marco Reyes, you are the next air to the throne after me. But my question is, are you ready to rule?
Gabriella stood straight and tall firmly. She kissed her mother Alba, mother-in-law Isabella, and Abuela-in-law Rita, on both of their cheeks as she departed from them to join her husband, Manuel, on the grand stairs.
To rule you must rule with joy and love, ready to give up anything for the people, for your family.
The coronation music began to play as Manuel and Gabriella walked down the stairs and into the throne room. "You look so beautiful," Manuel whispered to Gabriella. "Gracias mi amor, and you look overly handsome." She whispered back.
To rule you must not be selfish or proud you must lead with love. Your mother always spoke to you about preparing for marriage. I married your mother before becoming king because I knew I could not rule without having her as my Queen, ruling beside me.
Manuel and Gabriella stood in front of their thrones and in front of everyone and Coronation ceremony began.
"My hope for you is that when you rule, you should rule with all these principles. You should be the best King that Spain is yet to see. Do not let pride and arrogance rule you. I hope that you should wear the crown with love. Forever and Always love, your father Marcus.
