Chapter 14- Not A Happy Ending

(Y/N)'s POV

Tarlock urges us to leave but asks for me to stay. "Amon made a mistake telling you about your family." I looked at him crazy. "What do you know?" I asked and what he said shook me to my very core.

"I overheard his plan as he captured us. He asked for his men to find informats that search the mountains." He said. "Why the mountains?" I ask cautiously. "All I heard is that your father is imprisoned, I don't know what for but it must be bad considering the fact he could be by himself in complete isolation." Tarlock said. "Why tell me this?" I asked, confused. "In case it's too late to hear it from him. You and your friend and the avatar are going to take down Noatok and stop the madness he's caused." I nod at his response and meet Mako and Korra outside and we make our way to the pro bending arena. Korra must have noticed I was quiet. "Hey, are you ok?" She asked coming next to me. "Yeah, you've seem quiet. What did Tarlock say to you up there?" Mako asked. I didn't respond because I was too caught up in my thoughts. What could he have done? Is that why he left because he didn't have a choice? What happened to my mother? Korra placed a hand on my shoulder snapping out of my unanswered questions. I took a deep breath and said, "He told me about my father, he's imprisoned somewhere but there isn't an exact location." I say still looking ahead. Mako and Korra looked shocked but I wanted to avoid any questions given the fact I probably don't have the answers. "Look, let's focus on the task at hand, then we can discuss my messed life." I say, bluntly and they both nod

We finally get to the arena and I separate from them in order to remain unsuspicious to Amon while Mako and Korra go to a higher point to expose Amon for the fraud he is. Amon once again addresses his audience and explains his tragic backstory. Can you sense the sarcasm? Anyway Korra and Mako appear exposing him but Amon takes off his mask and shows his fire scar that covers across his face. It has to be fake, then as Korra and Mako are going to escape Amon reveals Tenzin and his family. Amon slanders Korra and tries to bait her into stepping foot first into danger and risk and of course Mako helps her do that.

Mako shoots lightning at the stage and Korra wall runs towards us with Mako, after me and Amon dodge Mako's earlier attack, Korra frees Tenzin and me and him attack the remaining men. Amon was still standing but Tenzin knocked him off the stage with his airbending. I let Korra, Mako, Tenzin and the kids get a head start, and Amon appears just in front of the door I'm blocking. "Looks like I finally get my fight." I say, with a smirk on my face. I charge at him and punch and kick like my life depends on it, but Amon ends my efforts by chi blocking me. He runs after Mako and Korra but I still run too. I see Amon run through the fire and wait as he hears the door to the gym close, they have to be in there. I wait until I hear a commotion and barge in, I see Korra and Mako on the floor and hear him say this, "I told you, I would destroy you." And that just angered me more. I felt helpless, useless, I couldn't protect my friends, I doubt I can save the city. But I have to try right. "AMON!!" I yell and he turns around, continuing to taunt Korra. I charged at him but stopped because his right hand shocked me right in my back, it felt so familiar and it reminded me of all the messed up stuff I've been through. I fell to the ground and his right hand confronted Amon about the truth. Then he tries to attack but fails and Amon throws him into some wooden pillars. As Amon goes to take Mako's bending away he hits him with lightning I get up with Mako as he carries Korra so we can escape, but Amon catches up and bloodbends the both of us, he pulls Mako towards him and Korra struggles to get up with me, and we see Amon about to take his bending away Korra and I scream no and Korra airbends. Wait, Korra airbends!!! Oh this changes everything. Korra quickly comes to the realization and we look at each other. Amon stands but Korra attacks again and again. Amon sits at the end of the hall and bloodbends us both but we fight it and I charge with Korra and kick out the window and into the water.
