That night, I spilled everything to Jimin—well, almost everything. I conveniently skipped over the whole Jungkook saga. I just wasn't ready for that again.

"Geez... that Hyun-Jae, he'll never change!" Jimin fumed, his teeth practically grinding to dust.

I knew how protective Jimin was. He'd probably take down an army for me if he had to. I tried to calm him down. "Yes, but I'm fine..." I said, forcing a laugh that sounded more like a dying cat.

"Thanks to Yoongi. Finally, there's someone else to protect you other than me."

I pouted dramatically. "No one can take your place."

With a smirk, Jimin leaned down and kissed me on the forehead. "I'll always be your number one!" he said, leaving the room like he just dropped the mic after a killer performance.

That night was restless. My brain was a jumbled mess of thoughts and feelings. The same question kept circling around: Why did Yoongi call me his friend? Why did he swoop in to save me like some brooding superhero? Maybe... just maybe... he liked me? I shook my head violently, trying to dislodge that ridiculous thought.

"Anio! That's not possible!" I cried aloud, only to hear my mother's voice echoing from downstairs.

"Jill, why are you still awake??!!"

"Just going to bed!" I yelled back, glancing at the clock. 1 a.m. Ugh, tomorrow was Saturday, which meant I could sleep in. So why couldn't I sleep late?

That night, I drifted into a fantastical dream that felt so real, I almost questioned if I was actually awake. I found myself at an amusement park with Yoongi, of all people. As we approached the roller coaster, excitement bubbled in my chest.

"Are you ready to scream your lungs out?" I teased, grinning at his usual stoic face. But to my surprise, a flicker of a smile danced on his lips. It was like spotting a unicorn in a field of horses.

We climbed into the roller coaster, and as it plunged down, Yoongi's yells were a mix of terror and exhilaration, echoing around us like a concert gone wild. His hair whipped in the wind, and for a split second, I wondered if I was more attracted to the roller coaster ride or to the fact that I was sharing it with him.

After the ride, we found ourselves at a booth, indulging in ice cream. The sun dipped low, casting a golden glow around us, making the scene feel almost cinematic. I watched in awe as Yoongi, usually so serious, tried to maintain a stoic expression while he stuffed his face with a huge scoop of chocolate fudge.

"Why so serious, Min?" I teased, playfully nudging his shoulder. He rolled his eyes, but the corners of his mouth twitched upward.

"Because I'm trying not to get ice cream on my shirt," he huffed, but I could see the playful sparkle in his eyes. I couldn't help but laugh.

As the evening progressed, we strolled through the park, sharing stories and laughter. The vibe was electric, and I felt butterflies swirling in my stomach. Yoongi's laughter was like music, breaking through the seriousness that usually surrounded him.

When we reached a quieter part of the park, the last rays of the sun illuminated his face in a way that made him look almost ethereal. We paused, our eyes locking, and suddenly, the world around us faded into a blur. I felt an unexplainable pull towards him, an energy crackling in the air like static electricity.

"Y/N," he whispered, his voice low and sultry, sending shivers down my spine. I watched as his gaze shifted to my lips, and I held my breath. Did he really want to? Was he about to kiss me? My heart raced faster than a roller coaster as he leaned in, our faces inches apart.
