The following day was weird to say the least. I walk to my locker to forget that I have no books in there, to be engulfed in another bear hug that I have come to love. "seriously Noah, I need to breathe" I turn and look up to see Drew, Parker, Liam and Noah standing around me and Talon leaning his back on the lockers behind them, not paying attention. "I heard what happened are you ok?" Noah asks softly. "Yeah, I'm fine, thanks" suddenly I'm being pushed, I turn to see Jules barging past. "ok, well we got to go to practice, but we will talk to at later" he kisses my head and turn and walk off with the other three.
Talon pushes off the locker and gazes into my eyes, we stare at each other for a few intense seconds, until a loud bang snap us out of the trance. He looks down turns and walks away. I shake my head, turn around and bump straight into Jules "crap, sorry Jules.", "watch where you're going" she snaps pushing me back "Jules, what's your problem? Did I do something?", "of course everything has to revolve around you doesn't it Maddi!!" she storms off without another word. "What's her problem?" Bes asks. "no idea, has she said anything to you?", "no, she has barely talked to me since we returned from break"
Lunch time comes around and Bes and I sit at our usual table I look around to find Jules sitting with Lexi glaring in our direction. I roll my eyes as Bes gives Jules a glare back. "Ignore her Bes, something is bothering her and I don't know what but give her time she'll come around". Five trays of food are placed on our table I look up to see Noah, Drew, Liam, Parker and Mark sitting down. I couldn't help the smile on my face thinking they have quickly become friends. Especially Noah, he has quickly squeezed in the best friend position.
Bes understands as she and I have been close but her best friend is Mark and will always be Mark. "Talon, bro sit down" Noah yells. I turn my head to see Talon staring at us. He rolls his eyes, and walks towards Lexi. Sitting next to her she kisses his lips. He grumbles something to her she rolls her eyes and turns to the girls. They turn look over here and laugh. 'I wonder what he just said, was it about me?' I shake my head loose of them thoughts and concentrate on the conversation at the table.
The rest of the school day goes by and I'm now sitting in my room on the phone to Josh. "I know peaches, I miss you too", "you don't understand Josh, "I haven't seen you in a week, don't you want to see me?" I whinged hating myself for doing it but I do miss him. "How about I come over Thursday night before the game starts and I'll spend the night, sound good?", "sounds perfect" I smile into the phone hoping he doesn't forget. "Anyways peaches, I got to go mum needs my help with something", "ok I love you", "bye" he hangs up the phone. I flop down on the bed and drift off to sleep.
I wake from another nightmare the next morning, Kirsten mustn't be home and dad's bedroom down stairs so he wouldn't of heard me. I glance at the clock 5:50am 'well looks like I'm not getting back to sleep. I get out of bed and take a long shower going to my dresser and picking out a simple outfit. Black leggings, a white tank, and a red flannel oversized shirt, with my white sneakers.
