Broken (completed)

-Chapter Twelve-

We sit and play 4 or 5 rounds of C.O.D before we head off. Noah takes his car to go pick up Mandy, as Talon and I decide to walk as the diner is a 5-10 minute walk and the movies are around the corner from that.

We are walking along for about 3 minutes and for the first time, since I've met him, it's an uncomfortable silence. Just when I can't take it much longer i have to ask "are you ok?", "I need to ask you something!". We both say at the same time. We softly laugh "you first" he offers. "I was just going to ask if you were ok?, you're just quiet and it's not you to be quiet around me when we're alone" I laugh "well not anymore, you used to be" I start rambling, as he shakes his head and smiles at me.

"I just have something on my mind, that's all" he looks away. "What we're you going to say when... you know?" I ask.  "Oh that I, uhm, I wanted to ask you something, well Noah and I wanted to ask you something", "yeah, ok, ask away" he seemed nervous, which is unlike him to be nervous around me. I thought we were closer than that. "Ohh, well Noah and I were, well we want to know who that guy was at the restaurant the other week", "Ohh Matty, he is just a friend" I shrug my shoulder. "A friend or a 'friend'" he air quotes the last friend.

I look at him with one eyebrow raised. "What do you mean" I play dumb knowing exactly what he meant, I just wanted to know what he was thinking. "Oh, it's just he was there at the costume party as well, and you kind of disappeared with him, I just... we just thought maybe there was something more between you" I laugh a little not being able to help it. "No, nothing like that. After we danced I wasn't feeling to good dizzy actually, so he took me upstairs so I could rest. He went and got me some water, then he had to leave, he sent me a text that I got the following day to let me know that he left after I passed out, just in case I wondered where he got to. And not only that he may be hot, but he is one of Josh's best friends and I couldn't do that to Josh". "Oh, so, there's nothing", "nope, nothing" I say popping at the p. 

I glance up and see we have reached the diner. I look over to Talon who has a wide grin on his face. Making me smile at it. He opens the diner door and leads us into the seating area where we find everyone waiting for us. I slide to one side next to Noah and Mandy and Talon slides over to the other side next to Bes and Mark. "What took you two so long?" Noah asked. "Oh, we were just talking", "yeah, about what" he wiggles his eyebrows. I look over to Talon who's eyes have gone wide, making me think Noah didn't actually want to know about Matty. "Oh, just how we think our exams went and if we were excited for prom" Talon jumps in before I could open my mouth. "Prom I thought instead of wasting money on prom we're going to save and go to the cabin for summer and look at apartments together" Bes looks at me questioning worried i had changed my my mind. "Yeah, I know that's what I told him, so I invited him to the movie night we were going to have instead on Prom night'. "You're not going to Prom??" Mandy asks shocked. "No, we've never been to any of the school dances, we've just saved what money we would have spent on dresses and everything and done something amazing during our summer break. This year we are going to Mark's families cabin and put a deposit on a apartment of our own for during college", "oh that sounds cool what else have you done?", "well last year we went to a bunch of theme parks and went to Cali, Oh and three years ago we went to Port Stephen's in Australia to visit my Aunt Becca, It's 2-3 hours away from Sydney".

Bes gets a huge grin on her face. "That trip was amazing it's so beautiful there. The beaches are so clean, and not to mention the little beach near your Aunts house that's enclosed with rocks. The people are so friendly and HOT!! What was that hotties name you hooked up with while there", "Dylan, I think" It's been so long since then and i'm not too sure.

The waitress comes over to take our order with a flirty look in her eyes while talking to Talon. I feel anger bursting in side of me. She laughs at something that wasn't even funny and puts her hands on Talons arms. "Do you mind hurrying up, I'm hungry" Noah growls next to me. She scoffs and walks off as Noah nudges me playfully to watch how she walks away, he leans in to whisper "if she seats her hips any more than that I think she's going to break a hip" he snickers. I can't help but laugh along with him. After a short wait she brings back our food. And places them down. Grabs Talons arm and hands him a serviette with something written on it "call me sometime" she winks And sways her hips again as she walks away.
