-Chapter Eighteen-

The next day talon called to say he was sorry about having to leave like that after his and his parents invited her to dinner tomorrow night. "You can stay over after if you want" I smile "I'd like that", "I love you", "I love you too" he hangs up. I'm currently sitting in a waiting room at a psychiatric hospital on a Saturday Morning, I received a letter yesterday from Jules begging me to come and see her so she can explain herself.

Jules was charged with all the defences the police officer had mentioned but was found mentally unstable and was sentenced to six years in a psychiatric hospital for the criminally insane. The doctors have found she is suffering from schizophrenic bipolar disorder. So now I'm sitting and I'm waiting.

A nurse walks in and tells me to follow her. "she will be restrained so try not to freak out when you see it, if at any stage you're uncomfortable and need to leave just yell out and we will get you out, there will be a guard just here outside the door at all times" she open a big door and allows me.

There she is. Her hair is frizzy and is in great need of a brush, her once blonde hair has her natural brown sticking through, she has no make-up on showing bags under her eyes. She looks completely different to my Jules. I see her wrists strapped to the table, she doesn't even notice I'm here even when I sit right in front of her, the nurse shuts the door. "Jules" her head turns to face me. "I didn't know if you'd come,", "why did you want me here?", "being here and getting the help I needed opened my eyes to the horrible things I done wrong, and as a step to my recovery I need to apologise for everything I have done to you, I am so sorry Mads, I truly am. I don't even know why I did what I did, I think deep down I was jealous of you, I'm so sorry", she breaks down and cries.

I place my hand on top of hers. "It's ok Jules, I'll forgive you as long as you continue to get the treatment that you need", "can we go back to how we were before I went all crazy? I really miss having you as a friend", "I really want to say yes, Jules, but I don't think we can. At least not right now. Maybe with time." I squeeze her hand. "Ok, I understand" she gives me a half smile as I stand and walk out.

I get home to find no one there, I sigh and go to the fridge to get a drink. Before I reach the kitchen there is a knock at the door, "ahh, coming" I groan and answer the door, opening it to see Matty standing on the other side. "Hey, bad time?", "No what's up?", "oh, I was just, I lost my phone, and with that I lost your number and I'm having a party before everyone leaves for college and was wanting to know if you and the guys wanted to come?". I laugh, "oh, uhh, ok, I'll check with Bes when we are going to the Cabin and I'll let you know, do you have the same number or a different one?", "different, here give me your phone".

I hand him my phone and he puts his new number in and hands it back. "what are you doing today?" he asks. "nothing just relaxing at home, I just finished seeing Jules at a psych ward". "oh that's right, I heard she went crazy and tried to kill some chick over a guy" he laughs. "it's not funny, and I'm that chick, and Talon was that guy". His face drops, "oh crap, I'm sorry Mads", "it's fine I've forgiven her". He smiles. "you're so much nicer than anyone I know, I would never of forgiven her". A car pulls up and I see Bes get out.

She walks over after locking the car. "Hey guys" "hey" we both say. "I was just coming over to see if you wanted to go bowling with Mark and I?, you can come too Matty if you want", "nah, I can't today got more invites to write, but thanks" he turns on his heels. "Come on it will be fun" I say, he looks at me and smiles "ok fine", "well that was easy" we laugh. "do you want to ask Talon", "he is busy today prepping for a business dinner tomorrow". I sigh. "oh, you two dating now?" Matty asks. "yeah" I smile.

He smiles back, "well good on you, rumour had it he was destined to marry that Lexi chick" he laughs. My face drops. "oh, I was joking" Matty looks scared. I can't help but let out a laugh. "they were seeing each other for a while on and off, but now he is with me and she's with someone else now". "cool" he nods. "ok let's go" Bes says.
