Broken (completed)

-Chapter Eight-

....Darkness.... Screams ....Thunder ....Tears.... ....Crashing....I love you....

"Shhh I got you..." cinnamon and apples "open your eyes Maddi" my eyes obey the command and flutter open. Talon has his arms wrapped around me. "It was a nightmare, you're ok now". I was sleeping peacefully then out of nowhere the nightmare started. I realise his hair is wet, he must have gone out and had a shower, he left me and my nightmare started.

My door opens and Bes runs in "Maddi, I'm so sorry I should have been here", "you couldn't have known, I'm sorry I didn't call to let you know what was happening I didn't want to interrupt you weekend" I sigh. "Come on your dad has breakfast ready" we head down stairs I see Noah and Mark in the dining room with dad, Kirsten and Jesse, "I called Bes knowing you'd need her today" Kirsten half smiles. After breakfast we all decide to watch a movie. Talon and I are on the two seater Bes Kirsten and Jesse are on the 3 seater and mark is sitting in front of Bes between her legs. I shiver "you cold?" Talon asks "yeah, just a bit", "want me to go get you a jumper or blanket", "yes please".

He stands and runs up the stairs the doorbell rings dad answers the door "Maddi, Jules is here" my eyes widen. I stand and make my way over to the door. "Jules, what are you doing here?", "Matty called me and told me what happened and I thought I'd check on you to see how you're doing, I'm so sorry for how I've been acting. Can you ever forgive me". I sigh "of course I can" I hug her hearing footsteps behind me I glance back to see Talon standing there with a blanket in his arms I smile. "I'll wait for you on the sofa" he says "ok thanks". I watch as he walks away I turn my head back to Jules "did you wan...." "what is he doing here" she growls through clenched teeth seething with anger. "he..." she interrupts me again "you know what forget it, I don't know why I'm here I don't need a slut like you as a friend" she turns on her heals and storms off.

I stand there shocked to my core not moving until a deep voice bring me out "hey... are you ok?", "yeah I think so" Talon shuts the door and grabs my hand leading me back to the lounge. We sit on the lounge and he pulls me into his side and wraps an arm around me as we get comfortable and watch the movie.

The next day is school, Talon and the rest went home yesterday after we watched two more movies. I didn't cry again remembering Talon words 'you will realise he isn't worth your tears'. He has been so sweet over the weekend. I don't know if I would have made it through without him. "You don't have to go you know? You can stay home" dad suggests, "I'm fine daddy, I can't hide away from the world because a boy broke my heart". He walks over and kisses my head "your mom would be so proud of the girl you've become".

I walk outside about to start walking when I see Talon's car waiting for me. I smile and run up and get in his car, "you know some people would think this was stalking" he chuckles, "you would be so lucky" he pull up to the drive through window at McDonald's and orders two coffees and heads off to school. We pull up to school and start walking feeling daggers on me I look to my left and see Jules and Lexi giving me death eyes. I break away and look straight ahead.

Two arms wrap around me, "you're here I didn't think you'd be coming" Bes says happy I showed up. Then I'm pulled in a bear hug "Noah, stop", "sorry Maddi, I'm just happy to see you" he smiles. We walk through the corridors. I see Emily standing at my locker "I'll see you guys at lunch", "will you be ok?" Talon looks between Emily and I. "yeh I'll be fine" I turn and walk over towards her.

I start opening my locker looking at Emily waiting for her to say something "Maddison, I don't know where to begin" she sighs "I just wanted to say I'm sorry for everything, I've said and done, Noah opened my eyes to it all yesterday and I just...", "Emily... its ok I understand Lexi is your friend I know she feels threatened by me but I don't know why we are just friends", I sigh "but I get it I do I hold no hard feelings against you", "thank you, I hope one day we could be friends" she asks "sure I'd like that", "oh one more thing... Jules told Lexi you slept with Talon over the weekend... she's out for blood".
