The cock crew during the early hours of the morning, Selassi noticed the space next to her was empty and looked to see that James wasn't there. But as for the other side, Nina was snoring away like she had nothing to do.

Aching all over, Selassi slowly moved over to the empty side, letting her feet hang over the bed. Mustering some energy, she got up and waddle over to the bathroom where she took a cooling shower which eased some stress and provided some relief her. The water drizzled all over her body as she held onto her body bump, feeling the baby's movements which warmed her heart.

A smile formed as she cooed at her baby who seemed quite energetic today, the kicks were slightly painful but she was bearing it for now as she continued rubbed her belly softly. The kicks started to intensify as it seemed like the foot wasn't a baby size anymore but more like that of an adult size foot.

Her eyes widened in shock, watching whatever it was kicked her through the side of her bump, devouring through her flesh and it unveiled itself to be something so unearthly that Selassi was unable to scream out. 

The water became colder than it needed to be and she instantly reacted, moving away and switching off the shower. She realised that it was all in her bed but visceral imagery was too palpable for her to believe that it was just a bad daydream.

Drying herself, the words that Nina mentioned the night before were starting to become something she was ready to heed. Looking at the mirror, she looked at her body, particularly at her chest to see the mark was still there. The dates remained the same as before and knowing that she only a few days left before whatever the demonic figure had in store for her, she decided to ignore it and go out with Nina for a girls day out, pretending like nothing was happening to her.

Getting changed quickly, she opted for a ribbed maxi dress and flat sandals to complete her look. Despite everything she had been through, her skin had no signs of haggardness and glowed like never before, she slipped her hair into a half-up, half-down hairstyle leaving some coils to hang over her face.

Seeing that Nina was still fast asleep, Selassi left the room quietly. The hallway was unusually light today that  Selassi was able to see another door close to end of the hallway. Tilting her head slightly, she carefully walked towards to it and felt the hand which was similar to one she held to the cult room.

Shaking it a bit, she realised that the door was locked and strangely enough, there was no apparent keyhole for this to be possible and so she jiggled the once more but it refused to open, a door squeak could be heard as she looked to the door at the end of the hallway which was partially open.

Letting go of her curious instincts, she backed away slowly as the door closed slowly before slamming shut, bumping into something hard. She let out a scream which caused Nina to scream and they both looked at each other with relief, holding onto one another.

" Shit, what you were doing?" Nina asked.

" I saw some door and wanted to check it out but it's nothing," Selasi said, looking back at the locked door.

" Ooookkkkkk, so what are we doing today?" Nina questioned, following Selassi's stare to some random door.

" Girls Day out, what do you think?" Selassi responded, whipped her head back to Nina. 

" Great, let's go" Nina agreed. The girls made their way downstairs to see that James, Theo and Auntie Diane were all there.  Theo sat as far as away from James as possible whilst James ate his breakfast, oblivious to the girls' presence.

Theo got up quickly to help Selassi with the last step on the stairs. Selassi looked up at him, seeing a remorseful look in his eyes and smiled at him, hoping for the same back.
