"Ehy, I have an idea about what we could do today. Wanna hear it?" the detective smiled, putting the dirty dishes in the sink, as they had both finished eating.

"Sure, what is it?" she said, walking up to him with the rest of the things to put away, intrested.

"So, I know you didn't feel like doing it yesterday, since you were tired, but I thought we could do it today... I mean, it's not like we have anything better to do, and I'm sure you'd prefer keep you head busy with something anyway..."

"Yeah, but... what is it?"

"Oh, right. Well, watching a movie, of course! Or more than one, if you want" he said, clearly excited, even tho he tried to hide it.

She thought about it for a moment.

She actually had something she could do... but they would've probably spent there quite some time in that safe house, and maybe beeing together, even if just to watch the tv, could've helped them getting to know each other better.

And he actually was right about 'keeping her head busy'. She usually had the tendency to overthink things a lot, as he probably had already noticed, and distracting herself a bit wouldn't have been that bad of an idea...

"...Ok, I'm in" she smiled.

Jake's eyes lit up with joy, hearing those words, and in his stomach, a weird warmth began to form, making his cheeks turn red a bit.

He had never felt that way for anyone...
Why was she making him feel this way?
Why was she different?

He quickly came back to reality, snapping out from his own thoughts, or better, daydreams, and awkwardly smiled, as he noticed her confusion.

"G-great! I-I'll choose a movie then" he stuttered, rushing to the living room in embarrassment.

Y/n was quite perplexed about his sudden change of behavior.

He was all confident and talkative, and then he became shy and evasive in a second.

Why did he change out of nowhere?

She shrugged, brushing it off.
It probably was nothing much.

She walked into the living room as well, following the chestnut haired man, that had already turned on the tv, and was now searching for something inside his box, the one filled with dvds and videogames.

"So..." he said, blushing again, as he saw her approacching "...I have a few things we can see"

She sat on the sofa, nodding as she waited for him to continue.

He cleared his throat, still clearly flustered, and spoke again.

"Ehm, ok... ehm... w-we have Nicholas Cage movies of all sorts, The Fugitive, Ghostbusters... Safe House, of course" he said, with a slight chuckle "...All the Back To The Future ones, Mission Impossible, from one to seven, and... well, the Die Hard saga"

As he said the last one, a smile formed on his lips for a moment, before fading away again, the embarrassment quickly coming back once more.

"So, w-which one?" he scratched the back of his neck, a nervous smile on his face, as he turned back to her.

She still felt as if something was bothering him, in some way, but preferred not saying anything about it.

He probably didn't feel comfortable talking about it anyway, and changing the subject seemed the best solution.

"I see you like classics, huh?" she joked.

"Yeah..." he blushed a bit, and hid it by looking into the box again, pretending to be looking for something again.

"Well... I don't know, Back To The Future? It's been a while since I last saw it..."

"Ok" he smiled "Back To The Futire it is, then!"

He took the first dvd and put it in.
Then he took the remote and walked towards the sofa, sitting down next to her.

Keeping a fair distance, of course.

"Ok, starting in three, two, one..."
__

Almost three hours had passed, and they were now in the middle of the second movie.

Jake was really into it, his gaze lost in the screen, from where he seemed to be unable to look away.

In the meantime y/n, probably because of the little sleep she managed to actually get the night before, had started feeling a bit sleepy, even tho it wasn't even lunch time.

She was trying to keep her eyes open, but it was getting more and more difficult to do.

She started to get closer to him.
Neither of them really noticed, until her head fell on his shoulder.

Jake blushed hard.
He looked down at her, his heart beating ten times faster than before.

She looked so tired...

Her eyelids felt heavy, and even tho she was doing her best to keep them open, it didn't last long, and in a few moments, she was asleep.

The detective didn't know what to do.
He felt nervous, his head filled with questions he didn't have an answer to.

"Why is she doing this? Maybe she's just tired... but what if... no, what am I thinking, of course not. How could she? I mean, we've know each other for, like, what? Two days? ...Ugh, I don't know..."

He looked back at her.
She snuggled a bit closer, getting more comfortable, and her hand fell beside his, almost touching it.

Jake's cheeks couldn't be more red.
He felt like they were on fire, which fortunately wasn't the case.

"Just watch the movie, don't think about it. If she has no problem being so close to me, then I don't have any as well. As long as she feel comfortable and safe..."

He took a deep breath, and tried to calm down.

"You can do this" he muttered to himself.

He closed his eyes for a moment, and then opened them again.

"Just think about the movie, Jake"
