"HOW DID SHE ESCAPE!" Shouted the countess, "AFTER SHE SHOT ME, WHY DIDN'T YOU GO AND GET HER, INSTEAD YOU LET HER RUN OUT"
She was distressed, the one person she needed not to leave this complex had just left.
"In my defence I was worried about you, you had just been shot with an arrow" Her husband argued, "the girl won't be able to do anything anyway. Our operation is to far in, you can't just undo something like this"
"That girl can," the countess said in between breaths, yelling had caused her to become out of breath and her wound was still fresh, "you said so yourself, we can't have that girl remembering. Well guess what, she remembers everything"
"Now who's fault is that?" Her husband said before adding, "she did trick you so it's understandable"
"Call a meeting, immediately" she said clutching her wound. It only took five minutes for the room to be full with commanders.
"Now we have a problem don't we?" The countess started, trying her hardest to keep her spin straight and to hide the pain she was facing, "Alex escaped not only an hour ago" she waited to look around at the expressions of her company, "I want her dead." She glanced through the crowd again to see if there was any change in expressions, there was none.
"Gladly" one of them said.
"How so?" She asked.
"Alex killed my brother, he was one of the eagles she fought" she smiled at that, Alex had done something terrible and now she was going to pay for it.
"What do you suggest? Which form of torture do you want her to face?" She asked.
"I want her to never forget what she has done, I want her to go insane seeing my brothers blood all over her hands" He said.
"That can be arranged, get the tech crew tweaking her brain implant now" she commanded.
"They already have, you just need to say do it and we will make her go insane" Another rebel said.
"Then do it" She said, "and for some reason she should survive, figure out something that will kill her if she does not survive the first wave" the countess smiled and dismissed the group.
"Is this necessary, she's just a girl" Her husband asked.
"Yes, that girl can bring down this whole company, she has the means just in her brain. My other niece had the same ability, but she's dead and out of the picture" the countess said, she walked over to her mind map and added another strand to the web.
"What was the girl's name again? It started with an A didn't it?" Her husband asked.
"Yes, it was Ashleigh or some other terrible name, honestly don't my sisters have any good names? First Alex, then Ashleigh. Like please, their name choices were as bad as their choice to desert me." She picked up an empty glass and threw it against the wall, "that's what I'll do to my niece for deserting me too"
Her husband stared at the broken glass on the floor, "well lets just hope she isn't glass"
"Are you rooting for her?" She asked.
"Absolutely not, I just think it would be more fun if she doesn't break so easily" he replied.
"I see," the countess smiled again, "it may be easier than we think, what type of company, even a rebel one would want to keep a murderer and a psychopath? She'll be out on the streets soon enough, we just have to pick her up and then the real fun begins" she walked over to the large chunks of glass and stomped down as hard as she could, her heels breaking the glass into tiny shards that ripped up the carpet on the floor. "I'm not going to play a fair game, like I said I make the rules, and they aren't in her favour"
