The Belt

They arrived home around three in the afternoon, Josh and Alex got permission to go riding, they decided to go down to the river again.

Trotting along the river bed Josh decided to try something.

"You know Alex", Josh said "I want to call you something different"

"That makes no sense Josh, but what did you have in mind? I'm genuinely curious"

"What about hotstuff? Or hey sexy?" Josh said, "what do you think?"

Instead of answering straight away Alex jumped off her horse, tied it to the trees and waved for Josh to do the same. He did, walking over to her confused but slightly satisfied with himself, this wasn't the response he expected but he would take it nonetheless.

"Come here, Josh," Alex said as she wrapped her arms around his core.

"What are you doing?" Josh asked, he didn't want to admit it but having Alex this close made him want to kiss her.

"Sorry 'bout this" Alex said then she turned around and took off running into the forest.
"What was that all about" he said to no one in particular, Josh began to walk after her when he felt his pants start to slip down off his waist. Glancing down Josh discovered his belt was missing. "So that was what it was all about" making a mental note not to call Alex those things or anything remotely like it if he was to keep his belt.

Josh took off after Alex, running awkwardly through the trees, "Alex! Give my belt back!" Josh called out. The only reply he got was laughing from a little way a head. She was going to pay for this, Josh thought.

Running through the trees Josh came to an unexpected stop when he saw Alex up a tree, grabbing her by the waist he pulled her to the ground causing Alex to Squeak then burst into laughing. Alex was positioned underneath Josh so she couldn't run any further away, "where is my belt? Alex, where is it?" Josh said through breaths.

Instead of answering, Alex just laughed.

"It's not under you is it?" As Josh said that he flipped her on top of him, "no, it's not is it?, where is it?" Admittingly Josh didn't mind having Alex placed on top of him, she was a light as a feather. Looking up at her he could see the amusement in her eyes, the playful look she got whenever she did something like this, but he could tell that she was nervous as well, Alex bit her lip whenever she was nervous. He couldn't count the amount of times he had told her to stop biting her lip.

"Stop biting your lip" while he said that Josh reached up and tucked a strand of loose hair behind her ear. He noticed as he did this she moved her head with his as if to block his view.

"What are you doing?" He grabbed her shoulders to keep her still, it didn't help, she continued to move her head with his as he tried to look past her.

"Stop it" Josh said while Alex giggled, causing him to smile. In the end he just placed his hands on her back and forced her face into his shoulder, he could feel her whole body shaking as she laughed against him. Looking up Josh saw what she was laughing about, in the tree a little way up was his belt dangling from a branch.

"Alex," he said, placing his head on the ground and closing his eyes, he couldn't help but smile.

A muffled sound came from Alex, "what did you say?" Josh asked as he let her go, she rolled off him onto the ground next to him, both laying on the ground staring up at the sky.

"I said, you smell" Alex said while turning to face him. She had the biggest smile on her face.

"Ah do I smell sweaty from running after you?"
