Chapter Fifty-Two

"Can you at least look at me?" she asked Josiah. Ever since she returned his coffee he barely said anything to her.

"Did I do something wrong?" she pulled on his arm when he was about to walk away. Josiah turned and stared into her eyes trying to figure her out.

"What do you want from me, Naomi?" he asks her and she stepped back appalled by his tone.

"I want you to talk to me when something is wrong. I can tell something is wrong because you cannot even look me in my eyes" she said raising her head so she could look at him.

"Who was the guy that you were talking to outside?" he asks her and she tried to remember. Then it hit her. He probably saw what the paparazzi.

"I don't know him," she said while shrugging her shoulders.

"You two seem pretty comfortable talking," he said showing her the video.

"Is there something you are trying to get at Josiah?" she said folding her arms against her chest.

"Is there something I should know?" he said now folding his arms. The tension in the room was very thick and neither one of them wanted to back down.

"Are you trying to accuse me of something?" she asked him now becoming serious.

"Did you know that man?" he asked her again but this time Naomi had enough.

"Forget this," she said grabbing her stuff to leave.

"We need to talk," he said but she was ignoring him.

"I am done with this conversation," she said while slamming the door shut. Rosa and Andy were both in the living room when they saw her leaving.

"Naomi" Rosa shouted after her but she was too heated.

She went to her car and made her way to where she knew Najomi would be at.

She knocked on the door and Christine opened it.

"Hey Naomi" she greeted her and Naomi gave her a quick smile.

"Is Najomi here?" she asked when they entered the house.

"Yes she is in the back," she said and Noami thanked her before making her way back there.

"Sis" Najomi said happily before seeing the look on her face.

"What happened?" she asks causing Naomi to show her the video she pulled up.

"Oh no," she whispered taking a seat on one of the pool chairs.

"I am so sorry that happened. I thought he would have stopped bothering me and obviously he hasn't heard the news about us being twins" she sighed while looking at her nails.

"Why did you get a restraining order?" Naomi asked her and Najomi went on to explain everything.

Josiah was calling Naomi's phone but it would go straight to voicemail. He even tried calling his sister but he figured she was probably mad at him.

"I'll be back soon," he said to Rosa who was cooking in the kitchen.

"Be safe" she said before he left.

He made his way to his father's house where Jillian was. When he got there he did not see Naomi's car which made him wonder.

"Jillian" he called once the door was opened for him.

He walked upstairs to her room and heard her talking to someone on the phone.

"He is here now," she said rolling her eyes at him.

"What?" she asks folding her arms.

"Did Naomi come to visit you?" he asked and she sat quietly not saying a word to him.

"Nope," she said after a while making sure to pop the P.

He was about to say something when all of a sudden there was a commotion downstairs.

"What the hell" Jillian hurried and placed on her slides and followed behind Josiah down the stairs.

There were six police officers standing near the door.

"What is the meaning of this?" Johnathan asked coming downstairs with Phylis on tow.

"Phylis Hutchinson you are under arrest for the kidnapping of your husband Johnathan Hutchinson," the officer said, and everyone gasps.

"What?" Johnathan shouted.

"You already arrested the person involved," Jillian said trying to step forward but Josiah held her back.

“You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be provided for you. Do you understand the rights I have just read to you? With these rights in mind, do you wish to speak to me?” the officer asks while placing the handcuffs on her.

"My wife was not responsible for my kidnapping," Johnathan said shaking his head in disbelief.

"If you do not believe us you can always come down to the station before she is transported," the officer said and Jillian burst out crying.

"Mom, you didn't" she shook her head but Phylis refused to make eye contact.

They escorted her out of the house and Josiah held onto his crying sister.

"How could she?" Jillian sobbed on Josiah'schest.

"It's will be ok" Josiah rubbed her back forgetting the whole reason he came over here.

"Do you want to stay with me for a few days?" he asked her and she nodded while pulling away. She made her way up to her room and Johnathan left to follow behind the cops.

Josiah tried calling Naomi's phone and this time he was surprised when it went through.

"Yes," she answered with an attitude.

"Where are you?" he questioned but she did not answer.

"Why did you call?" she asks and he groaned in frustration.

"Can you please come home and we can talk about it. I was wrong for accusing you of something you didn't do. Jillian also needs you right now because her mom got arrested for kidnapping our dad" he said hearing movements on her end.

"Ok I will be at your house soon," she said before cutting the call.

Josiah knew he was in the wrong and he did not want that argument to be the end of them. He was in love with her and he wasn't ready to lose her.

"I am ready," Jillian said from behind him. He took the bag from her and lead her to the car.

"Are you hungry?" he asked and she shook her head no. The last thing she was thinking about right now was food.

Her phone was ringing nonstop with calls from some of her friends and she has been tagged in a lot of pictures on Instagram.

When they got to the house Naomi was already waiting inside.

"Come here pooh," she said pulling Jillian into a comforting hug.

Josiah stared at her but she did not greet him or say anything to him for that matter.

"Naomi can we talk after you are done?" he asked her calling her by her first name.

"Depends" she smirked.

"On what?" he asks confused.
