Chapter Seventy

"Happy anniversary to us," Naomi and Josiah said hitting their glasses. She was having non-alcoholic champagne and Josiah had some wine.

"Today marks one year since we met for the first time," he said kissing her hand. They sat around their dinner table enjoying each other's company.

"So, I have set up a girl's day for you and Jillian," he said and she looked at him with a strange look.

"What? I thought we would spend the whole day together" she said to him. To her dismay, he shook his head and she couldn't help but to be disappointed.

"I'll be home with you later," he said standing up and placed a kiss on her cheek.

"I love you," he said before walking away. She heard the door close behind him and she sat still.

It wasn't too long before Jillian came barging through the door.

"Why the long face?" she asked looking at her best friend.

"Can you believe your brother?" she started but didn't get to finish.

"That is why I am here to make sure you and my niecey pooh are having fun," she said pulling Noami up of the chair.

"Speaking of my niece when do you find out the gender?" Jillian asked Naomi who was still in a bad mood.

"We find out in two days" she sighed walking upstairs.

" I suggest you bring some slides since Josiah booked us manicures and pedicures. We also have to go shopping since we haven't been shopping together in a while" Jillian continues to talk.

"What if they find out?" she said pointing down at her stomach. They were not ready to make the announcement seeing as Naomi still had to have the procedure done.

"Wear a hoodie or a big T-shirt," Jillian said and Naomi frowned. Her stomach was not that big but you could see the pudge.

She changed into some comfortable clothes and some slides as requested. They walked outside to the car and she got in closing the door behind her.

"You don't look too happy," Jillian says pointing out the obvious.

"Mhm," Naomi said leaning her head against her window.

"You'll see him tonight," Jillian said knowing what was bothering her. As much as she wanted to tell her what was happening she couldn't.

"I know what will cheer you up. We will be going to that Jamaican restaurant you love and then we will enjoy the rest of the day together" she says looking like a small smile drew across Naomi's face.

"Yea," she said not being able to resist the choice.

"How was your photoshoot in Australia?" she said after remembering the trip that Jillian mentioned.

"It was amazing," She said before her mind went to the one incident that happened.

"Oop I know that face, what happened," Naomi said with a little laugh.

"I had no clue they drove on the left side. I fell asleep during the ride to the hotel so when it was time to drive to the place where the shoot would be, my manager drove on the wrong side" she said bursting into laughter.

"What?" Naomi asked bursting into laughter herself.

They continue their conversation on the way to the restaurant. They stepped out of the car closing the door behind them, immediately catching the attention of the people.

They entered the restaurant and joined the line of people. It felt great to not be recognized for once.

They were soon led to a table and they took a seat opposite from each other.
