"I did not know the moving process would be this hard," Naomi said gently laying herself on the bed. She was exhausted and although Josiah hired people to help, she wanted to help too.
"Rest and the guys and I will finish," he said and she nodded laying her head on the pillow. All the paperwork got finalized and they were the new owners of the house.
Before she knew it she was knocked out. The workers went in and out removing all the boxes that they packed.
Josiah came back into their old room and saw that she was fast asleep. It was almost time for them to be on their way, but he did not want to wake her up.
"Josiah," he heard his mother's voice coming up the stairs. The only ones who saw the house was Naomi and him. The others would be coming today to help them with all the unpacking.
"Wow, it's like her stomach became so big overnight," Caralyn said looking at a sleeping Naomi.
"I know I guess that means our baby is growing," he said admiring her from where he was standing.
"Yes, so why haven't I seen this house that you plan to move into?" she asked taking a seat on the couch that was in the room. Most of these things were being taken away but not for their new house.
There were only a few things that they were taking apart from all their clothes.
"What's going to happen to this?" she asked looking at the large king-size bed set.
"I don't know, we just won't be taking it to the new house since we both wanted to start fresh," he assured her. He always planned on moving sooner or later and the time was now.
"How far is this house from your job?" she continued to question him.
"It is not far, about thirty-five minutes drive and it all depends on the traffic," he said when the movers took down the last boxes.
"Quick question before any of you leave. Do any of you want anything in this house apart from what's in the boxes?" he asked and they looked at each other.
"I-" they started but he cut them off.
"Look around and see if there is anything you might like," he said and they agreed and left.
"It's time," Caralyn cheered. She was ecstatic to see the house and she wasn't the only one since Blake and Jillian came through the door.
"Why are you dressed like that?" Josiah asked his little sister.
"I just finished a photo shoot and I wanted to see the house before I left the country. My team and I have a shoot in Australia and I get to take pictures with Kangaroos," she squealed.
"And I wanted to see my best friend," she continued her eyes falling on a sleeping Naomi.
"Awe, her stomach is so cute," she said walking over to place and hand on it. She rubbed it gently and that was when she felt it.
Her mouth fell open and Naomi's eyes opened in shock. She was in deep sleep but that was one of the moments she didn't miss.
"What?" Caralyn and Josiah asked looking at the two.
"You felt it?" Naomi asked and Jillian grinned.
The baby kicked.
"Bean kicked," she told them and Josiah came to sit next to her. He placed his hand on her stomach and there was no movement.
Just when he was about to pull away, he felt the small kick.
"Does it hurt?" Jillian asked and Noami shook her head no.
"I want to feel my grandbaby kicks," Caralyn said pushing them away and placed her hand on her stomach.
"More of a tickling sensation," she said feeling another kick. They all got a chance to feel the baby kick and now it was time to leave.
"Can you give us a minute?" Josiah asked and his siblings and mother left the room.
"This is the sad part," she said looking around the room that became her home. They shared so many memories in this room and in the house to be exact.
"Remember that time-" he started but Noami knew where he was going with it.
"We are not having this conversation mega-mind," she said laughing.
Josiah scoffed playfully before looking at his head.
"It's not that big I am highly offended," he joked and she shook her head bursting into fits of laughter.
When their laughter died down they looked at each other. She knew from the beginning this would be an emotional goodbye for them. She walked over to him and pulled him in a hug.
He wrapped an arm around her and placed the other one on her stomach.
"New beginnings," she said kissing his lips.
"I love you so much," he said while staring into her eyes.
"I love you more," she kissed his cheek lightly.
"Not possible," he smiled and she had a big smile on her face.
"Uh-huh," she said childishly and they enjoyed each others embraced.
They held hands and walked out of the room together. They stopped and looked around for a minute before continuing to go down the stairs.
"Do you wanna do that thing?" she asked raising her eyebrows playfully.
"Hellooo," he shouted listening for an echo.
They laughed when there was a small one. There was still furniture and the movers were choosing things they liked.
They all walked outside and saw that everyone was ready to go.
"How many cars can the garage hold?" Blake asked looking at the garage that had different cars.
"We can only have eight cars. Naomi has two and I can take six," he said looking at all his cars. He had no problem letting go of some of them.
Andy came outside with Rosa standing next to them.
"Here sir," she said handing him the sticky notepaper. He walked into the garage and placed a sticky note on the eight cars they would be taking.
"You're leaving the red Porsche?" Blake asked in shock.
"Nope that will go to you my dear brother," he said causing Blake's eyes to widen. It's not that Blake couldn't afford a similar car, but this car was customized specifically for Josiah.
"Thank you so much brother," Blake said pulling Josiah into a hug.
"Now, Andy I know you love to drive the Ashton Martin, so that is why I want to give you this," he said pulling out a paper from inside his jacket.
Andy inspected it before his eyes landed on the car. The car was officially in his name and it belonged to him.
"Thank you so much sir," he said feeling the tears running down his face.
Caralyn looked at her son and she couldn't help but be proud of him.
"Rosa don't think that I forgot about you," he said causing them to laugh. Rosa hated fast cars and he knew that since the very first time he drove her to the doctor's office.
There was a beep behind them and they saw a BMW X5 pulling up in the driveway.
"No way," she said her accent coming out.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you," she said to him with a huge smile on her face.
"Am so proud of you."
The next chapter is going to be something extra special. The book is really coming to an end. It hasn't even been three months yet.
