~part 19~

-Y/n's POV-

I SLAM MY BRAKES as I see the traffic lights turn red. After my little moment with Noah, I knew I had to break it off with Jack for real as soon as possible. So, I kissed Noah in and cheek and sprinted out to my car to head to Jack's house immediately. I release the pressure on the brakes and continue on my way.

I pull into his driveway and notice only his car is parked in the driveway. His parents must be at work or something. I open my car door and it turns off. As I approach his front door, I feel nervous and feel he will take this the wrong way. But on the other hand, I was the one who got us into this mess so it shouldn't be a big deal to him, I hope.

I ring his doorbell and after a few seconds, he appears on the side of the swinging door.

"What brings you here?" he asks clearly very confused.

"Uh...well, I think we or um I need to talk to you," I stammer.

"Oh alright, come in," he gestures me in. I enter through the door and we both take a seat on a couch.

"Before you say what you have to say, I also have something I would like to say," he plays around with a bracelet he has on and avoids eye contact.

"On 3."

We both count out loud and say, "We're done." We look at each other in shock and just chuckle afterwards.

"Glad we're in agreement," I giggle.

"Yeah, it was fun while it lasted," he says with a friendly smile.

"Yup. Well I'll be on my way then," I stand up and flash a smile before I exit out through the door. I continue smiling to myself as I start up my car. That couldn't have gone better! I decide to text Noah about it.

Hii, how'd it go ?

Jack and I both wanted to end things so it went well lol

That's good, wanna meet up ? I have something I want to ask you...in person

Yeah sure, where ?

Hmm...Olive Garden ? It's around lunch time and I'm hungry lol

-time skip to at Olive Garden-

Noah and I are seated by a waiter and then asked what we would like to drink.

"I'll have a lemonade please," I request and they write down my order.

"Just a water," Noah says and the waiter walks away. They soon return with our drinks and also set down a basket of breadsticks.

"Thank you," Noah and I say in unison. We look at eachother and lightly chuckle.

"So what can I get y'all to eat?" they ask.

"I'll have the Chicken Alfredo please," I say and hand them my menu.

"I'll get the Spaghetti and meatballs," Noah says and turns in his menu. The waiter walks and soon returns with our meals. I devour all my food up quickly as I am extremely hungry, even though I had a big breakfast.

Once Noah and I both finished up our food, the waiter hands us our bill. Noah insists he should pay so I let him after a while of us arguing. They bring back the receipt and we exit the restaurant.

"That was delicious," I say as I walk back to my car.

"Sure was," Noah agrees and follows me. I unlock my car and then I remember Noah had something to tell me.

"Noah, what is it you had to tell me?" I ask really curious.

"Oh um, well I was thinking yesterday and I realized I- I love you Y/n," he confesses looking down at the pavement.

"Noah I l- love you too," I say and lean in. Our lips connect and tingles run down my spine. This kiss is different...it's more genuine than passionate like normal. He disconnects our lips and bites his lip in nervousness.

He looks down again and asks, "Will you be my girlfriend?"

I stare right into his bright hazel eyes and respond, "Yes, of course." Our lips find each other's on them again and this kiss lasts longer. I play with his soft hair and he runs his hand down my back stopping at the lower part of it. We pull away after what seemed like hours and we stand there in the parking lot, staring deeply into each others eyes.

A/n: Hey everyone so the ending is kinda bad you guys were kinda robbed of scenes of Y/n and Noah so I apologize for that. I've ended the story short maybe if I find motivation I'll write an epilogue of some kind. It took me over a month to write this because I've lost interest in Stranger Things and Noah almost completely. I was in the Stranger Things fandom for 2 years and those 2 years were amazing but I have moved on. As for writing, I will not be making a sequel. I will continue to be active on Wattpad as I do read on here quite often. I want to take some time to thank everyone for 17k reads. I started this book off in March of 2020 when quarantine started as a little extra thing of boredom. I never expected it to get attention but I'm so glad it did because I have grown as a writer tremendously! I hope this book was at least a little entertaining and worth reading because it sure took a lot of time planning and writing it.
