An Extra Addition by: I_am_Divergent4

Tobias and I have been walking down the narrow path of the Dauntless compound for at least half an hour, but I'm not complaining. Tobias had started to gently hum a song I figure out to be "marry me" by Jason Derulo. When he hums, it sounds like a chorus of angels. Something keeps nagging in my mind, I can't tell what it is though.

"Hey Tris, can I ask you a question?"

"You just did," I reply.

"Oh haha," he says. "But seriously though."

"Yeah, sure."

"How do you think our relationship is?"

I thought about that for a while. I mean I love him and I know that for sure, but I haven't thought about our relationship much. We have trust in each other, but we just don't use it. I mean, how many times have I went out when Tobias said not to or he didn't know and almost get myself killed? The answer I was looking for was countless times.

If I had a dollar for every time I almost died, got hurt or somewhere along those lines, I swear I'd be the richest person alive.

"I couldn't be better, apart from the occasional trust issue," I say believing my words wholeheartedly.

"Then what do you think of having an additional person to our little relationship?"

I was confused. "What do you mean?" I was so confused my head hurt. Then it dawned on me. "You mean a baby?"

"Well, yeah" he said, scratching the back of his neck."

A Dauntless Kind of Love

(Divergent without the war)
I stand quietly dormitory door and peek inside. Will and Christina are curled up next to each other in one of the beds, snoring slightly. I smile. A perfect time to go meet Tobias.

I run through the Pit, barely able to contain my excitement. The long fight to hide my divergence was over. No more worrying about being stabbed in the eye, no more troubling simulations, no more problems. I am finally a Dauntless member!

Taking the stairs two-by-two, I reach the rope ladder and climb. Above me, the glass building lets in light from the full moon, bathing everything in a gentle white glow. I stop to look around for a moment, my muscles tense, waiting for the moment a yellow lights swaths the Pire in gold.

I don't have long to wait. As the light appears, I turn and dart out the door, searching for the shine of metal in the moonlight. The train appears from around a turn and I begin to sprint, the feel of cold wind slapping my cheeks making exhilaration running through my veins. I turn towards the train bunch my muscles, and jump.

Grabbing the rail, I swing myself over and into a compartment. I jump up immediately and catch my breath, watching it cloud in front of me. Though it was a warm day, the arrival of the moon has brought a chill to the wind, making me shiver slightly. I lean out of the car anyways, not wanting to miss my stop. As I reach the spot were I played Capture The Flag as an initiate. I jump, feeling the icy air flatten my hair to my face. I land and roll, jumping up as soon as I complete one turn. Brushing some gravel off my shirt, I smooth down my blond hair and retie it. Everything must be perfect. For him.

I break into a run, clearing the bridge spamming the muddy bed of a long-gone river in a few steps. Reaching the broken vast that lies beyond the mud, I stop, awed by the state of the buildings. Broken glass is still spilled on the ground, jagged, clear pieces mimicking the the moonlight. The concrete is decaying, bits and pieces of of walls scattered about. I shudder inwardly at the eerie quiet that surrounds the place.

Fear doesn't shut you down, it wakes you up. Remembering Tobias's words, I smile at how true they are. At this moment, looking around the abandoned sector, I realize how much I've changed. I used to be a scared girl from Abnegation, strong inside, but weak on the outside. Now I am Dauntless. I think that explains it best. Walking confidently through around the remaining houses, I spot red and white in the distance. The Ferris wheel. I speed up, reaching the carousel with the horses, weathered and chipped all over. Dodging a tailless horse, I reach the strip of land that stretches into the marsh. I allow myself to stare into the swamp, before continuing onto the pier. Reaching the Ferris wheel, I climb upwards, the same way I had when I had been an initiate. As I reach the top, I see someone with dark hair and tan skin facing away from me. The one person I had come to meet.

"I thought you weren't coming," he says, not turning around.

"Wouldn't miss it," I answer, settling myself next to him, on the edge of the platform. The medal rods are still blunt, though more rusty than the last time. Touching one, some of the red comes off and I inspect it before rubbing it on my pant leg. So much for looking clean.

"You know, Tris, our city is beautiful." Tobias turns towards me, smiling, hiss dark blue eyes gleaming in the ever so dim moonlight. "Now that you're in it," I answer, feeling my cheeks redden at such a non-Abnegation response. I'm Dauntless now, I remind myself with a thrill.

"No, now that we're together." He leans in. And kisses me.
