Nyx's Farewell

Today wasn't much of a good day because in a few days, Nyx will have to be gone forever. I decided that today I should spend my last few days with her, the rest of my Pokémon decided to stay with Professor Belle to play with the others while I took Nyx to all of my favorite places.

Valarie: Come on Nyx, let's go for a walk around Melemele Island
Nyx [Absol]: Absol
Valare: you guys stay here, it's just going to be me and Nyx

I walked with Nyx around Melemele Island as we stopped by a few places, admired the beautiful places, and even greeted a couple of people I met. After that, we went back home and ate dinner, but I was slowly eating my food.

Kukui: Val, you hardly touched your food, is everything okay
Valarie: Yeah, it's just... I'm just feeling the blues
Kukui: [looks at Nyx] Oh I see, I know it's hard to lose a companion, but, Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near; still loved, still missed, and very dear
Valarie: Thank Uncle Kukui
Kukui: I'm here to cheer up my niece, if I'm not then your dad would be disappointed in me
Valarie: That's true, I guess I should just make the most of it for Nyx, just until the time is over
Kukui: make wonderful memories with Nyx, it will make her happy and it will also make you happy
Valarie: Thank you

I finished eating my dinner, change into my PJs, and went to bed with Nyx by my side.

No One's P.O.V

While Valarie is fast asleep, Nyx looked back at Rocky as she fell asleep being Valarie's pillow and keeping her safe like a mother would. While Nyx looked at the other Pokémon Valarie has caught on her journey, she smiled and looked up at the moon knowing that Valarie's mom will soon one day find her way back home.

Valarie's P.O.V

I woke up bright an early to go to school with Ash, as we walk with our Pokémon to school. Class was in session, but this time our assignment was a bit different than what we usually do.

Kukui: Now I normally assign you kids with a subject about Pokémon, but can anyone tell me about someone that means a lot to them, anyone?
Ash: Oh! Pikachu and my Mom mean a lot to me, Pikachu was the first Pokemon I had during my journey, and my mom always supported me no matter what, even when I went on my Pokémon journey
Sophocles: My mom and Dad mean a lot to me, they took care of me ever since I was born, and Togedemaru means a lot to me since he always keeps me safe from the dark
Togedemaru: Toge!
Lana: My two little sisters mean a lot to me, they may be mischievous, but I love them dearly no matter what
Kiawe: My family means so much to me, especially Mimo, she may be small but I always value her safety
Mallow: My dad means a lot to me, he raised me ever since I was a little girl, and he taught me everything about cooking
Ash: What about you Val? I bet that special someone that means a lot to you is Nyx, right?
Valarie: Right, Nyx and I go way back before I became a Pokémon trainer, she used to be my mom's partner, then after I was a child, Nyx behave like a mother and decided to take care of me
Kukui: it's always nice to have someone you value, that's why, for this assignment, I want all of you to write a letter to the person you values the most, then by tomorrow, we'll be having a party
Valarie: A party?
Kukui: Yeah, a special party to celebrate the people we value, you can say we can build a shrine to honor those who we care for
Valarie: I don't mind making a shrine, that sounds awesome, don't you think, Nyx?
Nyx [Absol]: Absol!
Kukui: Alright, Val and Lillie will be in charge of the shrine, Ash, Kiawe, you two will be in charge of the decorations, Sophocles will be in charge of the lighting, Mallow and Lana will be in charge of the food and refreshments
Kukui's Students: Right!!
