This is a filler chapter by the way!

I laid in my bed, my eyes shut gently as I slept, a rare occasion, the peaceful silence washing over my sleeping figure, the rain on the window casting translucent shadows on my bed as the moonlight shone in through the shining window.

The only sound you could hear was the thumping of a song from underneath my bedroom, a party below blasting music just quiet enough to let us sleep, and the rain hitting the window lightly.

My chest rose up and down in a steady motion, the bass of the music sending vibrations through the wooden frame of my bed and into the mattress, then finally reaching me and making a humming, tingly feeling spread throughout my limbs as I slept.

A cloud moved slowly across the moon, the light bouncing off of the spherical, rocky orb being blanketed and hidden from everyone's view for a few minutes, until the cloud could finally pass back over.

The tranquil sound of the rain hammering against the windows started to become heavier, a distant clap of thunder echoing across the sky, masked behind the music from the below floor.

I tossed and turned in my bed at the second rumble of the thunderous storm outside, my night not so peaceful anymore.

My vision blurred into an image of my bedroom, normal as it ever would be. Rain splattering across the windows, dark shadows casted across the room from the moonlight, posters blacked out from the darkness.

I slumped out of bed and yawned deeply, walking to the kitchen for a glass of water as another clap of thunder tumbled through the clouds outside, a flash of lightning following closely after.

I looked down the hall and noticed that the downstairs music had stopped. Nothing played from the floor below. Not even the sound of a voice could be heard throughout the entire apartment building, except for the hammering rain and rolling thunder.

I stepped forwards, my footsteps echoing as I cautiously crept along the corridors on my tip-toes, careful not to awaken my mother, who should be sleeping by now. After all, it was 11:59pm.

Reaching the end of the hall, I looked around to make sure my mother wasn't there and suddenly stumbled backwards at the site in front of me, the clock on the wall striking 12:00 as I fell.

A man was standing over my mother with a blood-stained knife in his hands, the red liquid painting the floor all around my mother. It was dripping steadily from the knife like a broken tap,

drip.. drip.. drip..

The blood was soaked into his black trousers, the fabric a slightly wet colour in the faint moonlight.

The man stepped closer to me, his metal-heeled shoes clacking ominously against the wooden floorboards as he neared where I was lying on the ground.

Clack.. clack.. clack..

The man raised his knife up into the air and paused for a moment, everything seemingly frozen for just a few seconds as my breath hitches and I sat, frozen in fear, about to be stabbed.

The knife plummeted down into my shoulder, a slicing sound echoing around the room as the dripping of blood sounded from the end of the knife sticking out of my shoulder.

Drip.. Drop.. Drip.. Drop..

I looked up into the murderer's face and gasped, staring at familiar electric-blue irises surrounded by a shadowed sclera.

All Might stood there, an ominous smile on his face as he started to chuckle, then laugh, then roar out in hysterics, a manic laugh echoing through the walls of the house and then I woke up.

Cold sweat dripped down my face as I jolted up, rubbing a hand over my left shoulder, making sure it wasn't real, my breathing heavy and quick.
No knife was sticking out of me.
I was fine.

But I just couldn't settle.

Climbing out of bed, I heard the music of the neighbour's party downstairs, still playing, and the blur of the TV from outside of my room, coming from the living area.
I took in a few deep breaths and registered things around my room to keep myself calm.
All Might posters.. Eraserhead model scarf and goggles.. Pile of notebooks.. Computer.. Camera..

I was fine. Completely fine. It was just a dream.

That thought, though, didn't stop the tears rolling down my cheeks and the fast thumping of my heart.

I opened my bedroom door and crept to the front door, silently pulling my shoes from underneath the coats and slipping them on.
Opening the door, a fresh breeze blew against my face, making the tear-streaks on my face feel even more prominent as freezing cold droplets of rain landed on the ground outside, making splashing noises as they hit the puddles.

I placed my hands in my pyjama short pockets and started to walk along the apartment balcony, heading to the staircase while the rain poured down all around me.
'Some air would be nice..'

The rain slowed to a stop, and I looked over the edge of the balcony and saw someone out there, just sitting on the curb, staring at their shoes. They had a hood over their head though, so I couldn't tell who they were. I wondered why they'd be sitting in the rain, but was quickly distracted by a freezing, harsh wind that blew against my bare arms and legs, flowing down my t-shirt and making me shiver.

I shook myself and headed down the stairs, wiping the tear streaks off of my face as I stepped down two steps at a time.

Finally reaching the bottom, I looked back at the curb to see that the guy was gone, leaving a dry patch of the ground where he was sitting.
'I guess he went home then.' I thought, setting off with a light jog towards someplace where I can always think.

I slowed to a stop at Takoba Muncipal Beach and treaded lightly on the clean white sand.

Sitting just a metre or two away from the sand, I brushed my hands inside of it, taking a handful of the sand and watching it fall to the ground like an hourglass.

The slow rippling of the blue water calmed me as I gazed at it, a sigh escaping my mouth as I closed my eyes and laid down, the sound of the waves letting me relax.

I felt my eyes grow heavy and fell asleep right there in the damp sand, the last few raindrops falling onto me as I slept.
