Chapter 22

The doctor was about to explain the crucial surgery to his fellow interns BaoYu stopped him.

The Doctor looked confused seeing the little girl who suddenly asking about Doctor Stephenson's information. The interns were shocked to see the little girl asking about the legendary neurosurgeon Doctor Stephenson's phone number like a piece of cake.

"And you are?" Mr.Si raised eyebrow. "I'm d-daughter of Mr.Qing" BaoYu said to him with hesitation. At the other side YiChen looked shocked, 'When did you become his daughter?'

Mr.Si vaguely remembered two girls were standing when he came out of the operation room. "I know you want to save your father but revealing Doctors personal number is not possible. You can leave now"

But BaoYu refused to leave, "Just once, just for once let me talk to him"

Mr.Si started to get annoyed because he was already exhausted in the four hours of surgery. After the surgery he has to train his interns but now this little girl was disturbing him. "You're a kid. You should not be here. Go back to your family" and he asked his two of his interns to make her leave.

When the interns approached BaoYu, suddenly she knelt in front of him shocking YiChen and the others in the room "Please Doctor, I beg you. He is a honourable policeman who only focused on bringing justice to the citizens. He helped so many people. Just once, please help him"

Seeing the little girl's tears made the others feel bad for her. "Doctor Si, why don't you give a call and check with him?" One of the intern spoke.

Doctor Si sighed, "It's not that I don't want to help you. It's just Doctor Stephenson strictly said that no one should disturb him in this two weeks of his time. For this purpose he attended so many patients without taking breaks."

BaoYu still knelt and cried hard. "Sorry for troubling you" YiChen bowed to the doctor and helped BaoYu to get up and took her with him.

They both sadly went back to the ICU ward. Seeing her crying face BaiLing came to her, "Where did you went running like that? Stop crying" He wiped her tears gently.

BaoYu looked at QingZe who was still hanging his head down. "BaiLing, take everyone back home. You guys can come tomorrow morning" Papa Ning said to him.

"I want to stay here" QingZe said to Papa Ning. "I know what you are feeling now, but you staying here will not be helpful. Go back to home" Papa Ning patted QingZe's back, he turned to YiChen, "The kids didn't get to eat anything since lunch. Can you buy food on the way to home? I'm afraid they'll starve"

YiChen nodded his head. BaiLing and Yichen took the others home. While leaving the hospital YiChen called his mother and asked her to deliver some porridge.

When they reached home Madam Yi and Master Yi was already arrived with the food. Even though they're not close with the trio, they both know Papa Ning and Papa Qing.

BaiLing unlocked the house and others entered. Madam Yi saw the kitchen and used the bowl to pour porridge and placed it on the table.

Madam Yi looked at the kids who looked tired and sad, "Come and have some porridge"

"I'm not hungry" QingZe said and he was about to leave Master Yi stopped him, "I know you're sad. Only if you eat, you'll have strength to look after your father. You should eat at least for your father" and then Master Yi turned to the kids, "You guys should eat as well"

QingZe sat at the table and stared at the porridge. He should eat for the sake of his father. He know his father was a strong guy, he will be alright soon. QingZe took a bite and looked at BaiLing and NingXuan, "Eat"

After hearing him the two joined him for the dinner. As for BaoYu who was already eaten took Madam Yi outside to have a talk. She informed about the condition of Papa Qing to her.

"Oh god. I feel so sad for Mr.Qing. he was such a righteous person" Madam Yi sighed, "I'll check with my circle, whether they have any neuro specialists"

Next day the kids went to the hospital. Papa Ning looked so tired. So QingZe said to him that he will take care of Papa Qing and asked him to take rest.

As in ICU only one patient relatives are allowed. So the others waited outside with a gloomy look.

BaoYu once again went to meet Dr.Si. As soon as he saw her he knew this little kid was so persistent.

"Kid, I tried to call Doctor Stephenson. But he didn't picked my call" Dr.Si couldn't able to sleep a wink even though he was tired. All because of BaoYu kneeling keep on played whenever he closed his eyes.

He met so many people in his career who cried and begged to save a life. He somewhat disturbed by this kid whom eyes filled with only sorrows. So he gave a call to Doctor Stephenson but it didn't get through.

BaoYu frowned when she heard that. She hanged her head down and was about to leave Dr.Si phone ringed. He looked at the caller name and stunned. "Kid, don't leave. It's from Doctor Stephenson"

BaoYu looked happy for a moment. She saw how Dr.Si explained about Papa Qing situation to Doctor Stephenson and frowned when she heard that Doctor Stephenson was not able to leave his daughter side.

Before Dr.Si could speak BaoYu snatched the phone from him, "Doctor, I know you're busy with your daughter's wedding. Can you also understand that a daughter wants to save her father so he can also able to witness his daughter's wedding?"

Doctor Stephenson was dumbfounded when he heard a girl voice from the other side. He was sure that he was taking to Dr.Si just a second ago. He was more stunned when he heard her saying.

He quickly regained his composure, "I'm sorry. I can't do anything" with that he disconnected the call with the heavy heart.

BaoYu couldn't help crying. Dr.Si heart was almost broke when he heard her saying. But what can he do if this little girl's father was unlucky that he gotten into the trouble at this time when Doctor Stephenson was not around.

BaoYu handed the phone to Dr.Si and left.

It's been a five days that Papa Qing was in the ICU. Already two times he got into serious condition which scared the others. Luckily Dr.Si can able to stabilise his condition. But he told them to prepare for the worst.

Meanwhile Papa Ning asked around the other hospital who can able to operate on Papa Qing but unfortunately no one has confidence that they can able to save him.

"How can this be possible? What they mean they are not sure? Aren't they also Doctor? Is it make sense that only Doctor Stephenson can save our Papa Qing in this whole country?" BaiLing fumes in anger.

"It's just that we are unlucky" Papa Ning controlled himself not to cry in front of the kids.

QingZe was so mad at himself that he couldn't able to help his father.

At that time Dr.Si came hurriedly to them, "Doctor Stephenson agreed to operate on Mr.Qing"
