chapter twenty

"I'm so ready for MIAMI!" Dream said loudly causing people on the jet to look at her.

Today is Tuesday and we're flying into Miami with Drake and his crew. I invited Dream, Bella, Rebecca, and Teyana, but Teyana won't be here until Thursday night because she is filming a music video. But, I'm still excited to be going to Miami. This is my first time traveling since getting out the hospital. I had to get cleared by my doctor, but he said everything was okay after running some test and that I could travel, at least to Miami. We're not sure about out of country flights just yet. We're taking baby steps.

When we first got on the jet, it was kind of awkward because none of my stuck up ass friends wanted to talk to men that they didn't know. Especially if they weren't "blowing racks". So, I loosened everybody up by making them drink some champagne and jam to some music. Now everybody is a little more free and open to conversation. Drake's crew was flying with us, but he had a few A-lists people with us too. I didn't expect to see as many as I did. French Montana, Desiigner, Tyga, and Wiz Khalifa are gonna be staying with us too. I feel like all of us in a house together are a recipe for sexual disasters, but hey, everybody's grown. So, it is what it is.

"Hey can I talk to you?" Drake asked catching my attention.

I look up from my phone and nod my head. "What's up?"

"Come on." He said grabbing my had. He walked me to the back of the jet where Bella was sitting with her AirPods in sleeping with her head against the window. She's been sleep since before we got in the air. "I just wanted to clarify something because I know what we're doing might be confusing,"

"Confusing to who?" I ask completely lost. "I think I know what we are."

Drake shrugged, "Well maybe it's just me, but I don't wanna rush into anything with you just yet. We've been friends for a while and I love you, you know that. But, if I'm being honest, I don't know if I love you enough to trust myself to make that next step forward and start a new chapter with you. If you don't mind I would like to continue this friendship before we take that extra step. You might be ready and that's wonderful, but I still need some time."
