chapter twenty-seven

"Happy birthday baby boy.." I spin Adonis in a little circle as I hold him in my arms.

These past few months have moved so fast. It's been pretty boring though, COVID-19 hit us hard and now we're in quarantine. I've pretty much been living with Drake and going back and forth from my house to his. Rebecca has been staying with Wiz here in LA too, so we're all spending a lot of time together these days. Milan is in New York and I don't see her a lot like I was during the summer.

"He's adorable.." I to Sophia as I grab my champagne glass.

"Isn't he?" Sophia said smiling. "Thank you, for putting this together. I was afraid we weren't gonna be able to celebrate his birthday."

I shrug my shoulders. "Yeah I just wanted him to have a good time while he's with his dad. Drake was trying to plan something but he's a little slow.." I say jokingly making Sophia laugh.

"Babe I can hear you." Drake said across the room.

"I wasn't trying to whisper." I say shaking my head. "Anyways I just want to thank you for letting me be in Adonis' life. He's such a sweet little boy." I say pouting my lips.

"Aw it's no problem, you're such a good person. I know you would never put harm in his way and that's what matters the most to me." Sophia stated.

I've known Sophia for a few months and I met her before I met Adonis at some function. She was never negative towards my relationship with Drake and that's what I wanted. When I started talking to Drake I knew he had a son so I knew that there was a 50/50 chance of me being friends with the baby's mother. I'm not surprised though, I know how to behave and Sophia is a very respectable woman as well.

"Knock, knock." I hear another voice say. "Hey everybody!" Rebecca walks into the living room and waves.

"Tee Tee!" Adonis squealed running to Rebecca and hugging her legs.

Rebecca picked him up and kissed his cheek. "Happy birthday handsome. You're getting so big!" She said smiling.

"Hi you guys, I'm here too!" Drake said loudly.

"Shut up." Rebecca said. "It's not about you." She said.
