I wake up to Hope cuddling me. I giggle quietly and softly slip out of her firm grip. "Ughhh did you forget I'm a tribrid I can literally hear everything!" She whisper-yells. I giggle.

"Sorry baby I tried not to wake you up." I say getting ready for school. She looks at me and pouts.

"Why are you such a good person? Just skip classes with me!" She says as she gets up.

"Hope mikaelson." I say in a warning tone.

"Fine mom I'll go to school." She says scoffing and puts her school clothes on. I smile and give her a kiss on the cheek.

"If you are nice to Lizzie today and you participate in classes I will give you all the cuddles in the world, ok?" I say. She nods and smiles.

"You make me good." She says as she gives me a hug form behind.

"Come child we must go to our first class." I say in mom tone. She laughs and closes the door. We walk down the hallway hand in hand. I see the twins.

"Hi Lizzie!" I say and smile at her when she comes running and gives me a hug. I smile and engulf her in a hug. "Come on guys we have to go to class." I say.

"Told you.." I hear Hope whisper. I smack her arm and grab her wrists forcing her to go to class. She groans and follows. We get to the class and we sit down while the teacher teaches.

--Lunch time--

"Baby? Can you get me some food I don't feel like walking into the line." I whine. She smirks.

"How can I say no to those puppy eyes." She groans.

"Y/N.." Josie says. "Hm?" I say in a questioning tone.

"My dad says Malivore is back.." she says. I gasp..

"T-The pit?" I ask. She nods sadly.

"I'm doing it.." I say. Her eyes widen.

"No! Hope would be devastated!" She whisper-yells at me. I sigh and run a hand through my hair.

"I'll talk to Alaric about it." I say firmly. She frowns but nods. Hope walks back up to us and gives me my food that I asked for.

"Thank you baby.." I say and kiss her cheek a little longer. Knowing that this might be my last.

"No problem." She says as she smiles.

By then Josie left so I can talk to Hope.
"Hope.."

"What's up?" She asks while looking at my frowning face.

"U-um..malivore is back.." I say looking down.

"Oh. Well we can find a solution!" She says smiling.

"I already have...I'm going to sacrifice myself.." I say.

"No! No you aren't!" She says firmly.

"I'm sorry Hope it has to be done.." I say. I try to stand up.

"Please d-don't leave me!" She sobs. I almost break.

"Let me do this for you...for everyone" I say. I lean on and kiss her lips like there is no tomorrow..because there really isn't. She sobs into the kiss but kisses back.

"You know I love you right?" I ask. She nods and try's to stop crying.

"I l-love you too." She stutters. I smile and walk to Alaric's office.

"Hey Alaric?" I say.

"What's up?" He asks.

I sigh, "Josie told me about malivore..just make sure Hope is happy.." I say trying to fight back the tears. He nods sadly. I exit his room. I go to me and Hopes room and take everything in..

I start going to where Malivore is at.

A couple minutes later I reach Malivore. Luckily Clark is still in the pit so I make a last call.

(You: bold, Josie: italics)

"Hello?" Josie asks.

"Hi Jojo.." I sigh.

"Oh god don't tell me this is goodbye.." she says while trying not to cry.

"Sadly..ok listen to me I want you when I disappear..I want you to date Hope. I know you had a crush on her before me so it's only fair." I sob out

"Oh...I hope you find peace in the darkness
Y/N..thank you for everything. I will treat Hope right." She says.

"That's all I ask.." I say and then end the call.

I sob and jump into the pit.

Third person POV: Back at the Salvatore school everyone felt something get ripped out of them..then they forgot.

Hope and her friends graduated without ever knowing what happened.

3 years later.

"Mama!" A little girl yells as Hope tickles her. "M-Mama p-please stop I'll clean my room!" She laughs out.

Hope gasps, "Really?" She asks. The little girl nods quickly. "Get to cleaning Andrea!" Hope chuckles.

"You are so mean that is literally our daughter." Josie chuckles. Hope grins.

"Hm? What makes you think I won't do it to you too?" She asks with an eyebrow raised.

"Please you wouldn't hurt me, not if you know what's best for you." Josie says feigning shock. Hope laughs and sits down with Josie.

"Have you ever felt like you were missing something? Like a big piece of your life, gone?" Hope unexpectedly asks.

"Yeah that's life for you." Josie says sadly. Hope nods and sighs contently.
