Karmanami: Intertwined.....

Chapter XI

Karma wakes up in a jolt, he had no recollection of what happened the previous night. He was still wondering if he confessed to Manami or not, he was lost in his thought when Manami comes inside his room.

"Karma kun, we have to leave in an hour, you better get ready, I'll help in packing your stuffs. " Informs Manami as she starts packing Karma's stuffs.

"Okuda san, I'm sorry for I passed out yesterday. I hope I didn't do anything stupid."

Manami giggles but keeps it to herself.

"No. You were a little drunk because of those sake soaked pickles, but you were all fine." Answers Manami who was barely able to hold her laugh.

"Damn. Does it mean I didn't confess to her?" He murmurs but Manami could make out what he was murmuring.

"Now go get ready, we have to leave soon." Manami pulls Karma out of the bed and sends him to freshen up.

It was time for their departure and Manami was waiting for Karma, she sees Karma stepping out with the rest of the stuffs. She quickly runs to him.

"You're so late, let's hurry up, we have school from tomorrow onwards." Manami holds Karma's hands and pulls him.

Karma could feel his red turn as red as an apple, Manami was actually holding his hand. Manami could notice me him blushing but decides to tease him more.

The cab starts and their journey starts but the circumstances were different this time. Manami was aware of Karma's feelings for her but she was not sure about her feelings yet. She knew she had a special place for Karma in her heart but she wanted to confirm it.

"I really loved this trip. Thank you so much Karma kun for bringing me to this beautiful place." Manami smiles.

Karma couldn't help but fall for that innocent and beautiful smile, he almost forgot how beautiful she was when she smiles. Long before they realised, they had already reached their apartment.

They reach their separate room and freshen up. Karma after freshening himself up steps out of the bathroom and rests in the couch when someone knocks the door, he was surprised to find Asano to be the one.

"What is it?" Asks Karma.

"Nothing in particular." Answers Asano as he enters inside Karma's room.

"Then what are you here for?" Asks an annoyed Karma.

"So, how was the trip?" Asks Asano.

"Huh? Is that all you wanted to ask?" Karma raises an eyebrow in suspicion.

"Of course, Okuda is a good friend of mine and you're kind of a friend of mine so I am curious."

"Well... I.... I couldn't." Answers an embarrassed Karma.

"3 days just the two of you and you couldn't tell her your feelings?" Asano chuckles and laughs out loud.

"It's not easy you know and I passed out last night because of having that sake pickle." Karma was embarrassed while telling his story and Asano couldn't help but laugh at him.

As Asano continues laughing someone knocks on the door and Karma goes to open it and finds Manami standing with a pot of food.

"I've got food for us." She steps inside.

Karma was still feeling embarrassed but somehow Manami had that ability to quickly calm him down, without saying anything.

Karma and Asano help in arranging the table.

"It's a recipe I learned from the trip." Informs Manami as she passes the bowl to the guys.

The food was delicious and they enjoyed their heart out.

"Thank you so much for the food Okuda, but I've got to go and start arranging everything for school tomorrow. I'll see you guys." Asano bids farewell and leaves the two of them alone.

Karma and Manami were alone and they've been alone countless times but this time was different, this time was different for Manami. Karma takes the bowls away and returns back to the table to see Manami still in the same spot he saw her. She was facing down. Manami was blushing hard and her heart raced. Karma walks upto her and places his hands on her shoulder.

"Okuda san? Are you lost somewhere?" He jokes.

Manami stands up and swiftly hugs Karma. Karma instantly turned as red as an apple.

"O-O-Okuda san?" An embarrassed and shy Karma was shocked by the girl's sudden moves.

"Thank you Karma kun for coming into my life, the 3 days I spent with you were the most beautiful days of my life." Says Manami while blushing the whole time.

Manami could feel the hug. The hug with Asano was a general friendly hug but she knew that this hug was special, she felt safe and secure while laying her head on his chest. Karma also quickly calmed down and he hugs her back.

"They were the most beautiful days of my life too." Karma was happy.

Manami looks up to Karma with a smile.

"Is she, is she also?" Wondered Karma. He seemed hopeful seeing her bright smile.

"Thank you Karma kun." Saying that Manami releases the hug leaving Karma frozen and confused.

"I've got to go now. See you." Says Manami as she steps out of his room.

"So, that was just a hug and nothing else?" Wondered Karma.

Manami who was outside holds her laugh.

"I guess I'm going to tease him for a bit more." She smiles to herself and heads towards her apartment.
