Chapter XVIII

Kira stood in front of an angry vice principal and an annoyed Chemistry teacher. He looked annoyed himself. The vice principal paces back and fro around the room, mumbling and murmuring something. He stops pacing and stomps angrily towards Kira.

"I wanted you to keep that girl away from those two boys. Why is she back with them again?" Shouted the vice principal.

"Sensei, I tried my best to keep Manami apart from those two, I tried to shower her with lots of things too, it's not my fault she's not into money." Scoffed Kira.

"Those two are trouble for us and our aim. They're going to ruin the contract we made with Okuda Manami. Do you understand that?" The Chemistry teacher joins in to scold Kira.

"Please sensei, I've already create you. I tried my best to create problems and misunderstandings between them and besides you people also never told me what your real intention behind it is. If you don't give me credit for this project then I'm going to tell the whole world the truth about it." Smirked Kira.

"Are you thinking of blackmailing us?" Questioned the Vice principal.

"I'm not thinking, I am blackmailing you. I have the money but I need the power as well and I don't like to joke." Kira leaves the room.

Manami is on a video call with her brother Riku. It has been a very long time since they last talked.

"Nee-san. You look really happy today. Did something good happen?" Asked Riku

Manami blushes a little.

"It's... It's nothing... I'm just feeling better these days." She chuckles nervously.

"Oh that's really good to hear. I wish I was there with you. I really miss you sis." Tears started forming on Riku's eyes.

"Now come on, don't be a cry baby. I'm just a few minutes older than you, you know." Teases Manami.

"Ugh... You've never stopped telling me about that but I just feel so awkward being far away from you. You know you've always been the better sibling who knows their responsibility were very well. I'm just spoiled you know."

"You're a very good brother, Riku and I don't have any doubt about that. You're a caring and kind person as well, the smarter sibling and you're one of a kind as well. Otherwise you wouldn't be awarded such a course at just this age."

"Oh come on now, stop buttering me and I'm coming in December so remember to make some really good Japanese food for me. Okay?" Ordered Riku.

"Okay! Okay, as you wish my little brother." Chuckles Manami as her little brother fumes on her.

They end their conversation and Manami cuts the call and turns to look at Karma had just returned from the kitchen and was now ogling herm

"Karma kun, are you staring at me?"

Karma simply nods.

"Ugh... You can be creepy sometimes." Teases Manami.

Karma crawls up to Manami, pinning her to the floor and lays on top of her. He leans in close.

"I can be creepier." He seductively whispers into her ears, ticking Manami.

"You're tickling me." Chuckles Manami.

"I am? How about this?"

Karma takes his hand and slowly brushes it off Manami's exposed thighs. Manami was feeling it, she grabs Karma's shoulder tightly.

"I can do that too you know." Smirks Manami.

She unbuttons his shirt and exposes his bare chest and starts kissing all over it, making Karma let out a soft moan. Manami smirks proudly as she makes Karma moan.

Karma makes Manami sit up straight and soon pounces on her lips, acting like a hungry wolf, Manami was also enjoying the smooch. Karma reaches his hand inside Manami's top and unhooks the bra. Manami and Karma were both feeling the heat, it was slowly getting up to them when.

"Oi, Akabane." Calls out Asano.

A panicked Manami quickly dresses herself.

"What is it Asano?" Answered an annoyed Karma.

"Did you burn something? I can smell smoke from your kitchen."

Karma suddenly remembers that he had placed tea on the stove. He rushes to the kitchen only to see his tea pot all dried up and all black, he quickly turns off the flame, barely saving his apartment from a disaster. He takes a sigh of relief and hears Manami open the door. He sees the burnt pot and sighs in disappointment.

"Okuda, Karma you people are so careless, you couldn't even smell things burning? What were you doing?" Questions Asano.

"I-I actually.. We-We were you know-" Manami was stammering.

"We were listening to earphones, so that's why." Karma chuckles while pointing to his earphones that were luckily lying near the study table.

"Gosh, be careful next time. If the house owner finds out he's going to kill us." Sighs Asano.

Manami and Karma steal glances at each other before taking a sigh of relief that Asano hadn't figured out what they were doing.

"We'll be careful next time." Assured Manami.
