Karmanami: Intertwined.....

Chapter XXIV

The chemistry teacher had tied the rope to the roof, he checks it to make sure that things go right. He signals the principal who smirks wickedly.

"You did a great job, child but it's time for you to die."

The principal kicks the chair away, Manami was hanging by her neck. She was trembling and shaking and struggling to free herself. The principal and the others watch in joy when the door is kicked wide open.

Karma, Asano and Riku stepped inside with weapons in their hands and back. Karma was horrified to see Manami hanging and shaking. He rushes to save Manami.

The principal and the others rush towards Karma but Asano and Riku stopped them. Asano lands a hard punch on the principal's face, he looked pissed. He holds up a gun in front of them, scaring them into a corner. Riku cuts the rope, letting Manami loose. Karma takes Manami in his arms.

"Manami. Manami. Are you okay? Manami." called out Karma.

Manami moves her eyes, she opens her eyes and sees Karma and Riku and a smile appears on her face.

"I..... Knew.... You guys... Would come."

Karma brushes Manami and comforts her.

"They... Want.... to...kill....." Manami was exhausted.

"We know nee san and we're not going to leave them." Assured Riku.

Karma places Manami in a safe corner and walks to Asano who was still pointing his gun at the three.

"How dare you point your guns at your teachers?" Grunted the principal.

"Shut up, you assholes. You don't deserve to be called teachers. None of you should be called teachers. You're not teachers but monsters. Taking advantage of the hardwork of students? How sick can you be?" Grunted an angry and annoyed Karma.

"We'll give you people money, just let us go please." begged the vice principal.

The boys were silent.

"We'll give you any amount of money you want. Just let her research be ours." Begged the chemistry teacher this time.

"Huh? Any amount I see. Manami's research is indeed worth billions isn't it?" Smirks Karma wickedly.

The principal smirks back.

"It is indeed worth billions and we'll give you guys share if you want but let don't tell anyone about this. We deserve to earn money too."

"You do deserve it." Scoffed Asano.

"You deserve to rot in jail forever." Added Riku.

Karma steps forward and sprays the whole room including the three teachers in gasoline.

"G-G-Gasoline? What are you people doing?" Questions the horrified principal.

"If there's anyone who deserves credit here, it's Manami. It's her hardwork and as long as I am alive, I won't allow anyone to take advantage of her." Says Karma with bloodlust and murder screaming on his face.

Karma lights up a lighter and the three flee from the window but the cops were already waiting outside.

Manami who was slowly waking up calls Karma and the others. They all rush to her.

"Manami, you'll be fine." Assured Karma.

"B-Burn this.... Place down." Says Manami surprising the boys.

"But Okuda, this is your research and we did this stunt to scare the teachers only."

"If not them.... Then someone else....will take advantage...... And I don't want that too happen.. " Answers a still drowzy Manami.

"But won't it take you years to write the papers again nee san."

"Chemistry is easy for me. I'll be able to do it even without the need of writing them down." Manami smirks weakly.

Karma hugs Manami, he was confident in her. He tells Asano and Riku to properly spread the gasoline through the whole room.

They empty out all the containers and Karma takes Manami in his arms. After stepping out a safe distance from the room, Asano lights up the rope that trails towards the store room. They head out of the building passing through the unconscious men whom the trio had taken care of before entering prior to confronting the teachers.

The principal, vice principal, chemistry teacher and some other teachers were finally exposed. It was revealed that they had done the same thing to an outstanding maths student and a physics students. The students whose death were thought to be suicide were finally solved and the families finally got the closure they longed for.

Manami, Karma, Riku and Asano were hailed as heroes. Manami was also healing slowly and gaining her strength back and Karma had not left her side since that incident.

"Karma kun, you shouldn't be missing your schools too much. I've been given official leave from the school but you're-"

"No more talking and have this soup now." Karma interrupts Manami.

He sits next to Manami and starts feeding her the soup. Manami couldn't hide her tears anymore, which Karma notices.

"Manami, why are you crying?"

"No, it's just tears of happiness. I'm a very lucky person." Manami couldn't stop her tears.

"Manami, you look so ugly while crying."

Manami instantly stops crying, she stares at Karma, surprised by his response. Karma laughs his heart out. Manami realising it was yet another prank by him slowly starts laughing with him.

"Geez Karma kin you're so mean." She pouts.
