Karmanami: Intertwined.....

Chapter XVII

Asano had to think of something to unite the two broken lovers, they were his closest friends ever after all. He thought for a whole hour when an idea pops up inside his head. He rushes to Karma's place.

"I need to talk to you about Okuda. I have a plan for you to make up to her again."

"Okuda san doesn't even want to see me, Asano."

"Trust me Akabane please. You people are the two closest people that I've ever had. Trust my plan and I am sure everything will be fine between you and Okuda." Assured a confident Asano.

Karma sighs seeing a persistent Asano but somewhere inside he also wanted to make up to Manami.

"Fine. Tell me what do I have to do?"

"Honestly, I just need you to be yourself again."

Asano's answer seemed confusing to Karma but he didn't want to give up on his hope of making up with Manami.

The day was here, the day Asano planned to reunite the two estranged lovers. He calls Manami.

"Okuda, I need you to come with me today." Ordered Asano.

"Wow. You're being so direct. What is going on Asano kun?"

"Don't ask any questions but just come with me. I'll coming to your apartment now." Asano cuts the call leaving Manami no chance to ask anything.

Af

"This is going to go well." He chuckles leaving Manami confused.

"Going to go well?" Manami raises and eyebrow.

"Now let's go. We're getting late." He pulls Manami by her hand and takes her up to his floor.

He stops outside Karma's apartment much to Manami's annoyance.

"What are we doing here?" Questions an annoyed Manami.

"Just go in and thank me later."

Asano opens the door and pushes her inside. Before Manami could protest Asano had locked the door, she sighs annoyed and frustrated. She turns back to see the room all dark.

"Why am I doing this?" She sighs.

'Click'

Went the switch and the room lights up. Manami looks around and sees photos of her, Karma and her classmates from 3 E during their time as students in Kunugigaoka Junior High. The photos were beautiful and made Manami nostalgic. She walks up closer and sees a photo of her and Karma in a beach enjoying ice cream and she remembered it from the time they went on the private beach trip to assassinate Koro sensei.

She goes to another photo and it was from the time, Karma played a trick on Manami herself and she could see her terrified face in the photo that causes her to chuckle.

She takes a look at another photo and this time it was from their trip to the amusement park. Karma and Manami were in the roller coaster and while Karma seemed to enjoy the ride, Manami looked terrified here too but thinking back these moments were lovely and beautiful.

She hears footsteps behind her and turns back to see Karma in a very laid back outfit, something she hasn't seen him wear in a long time. She turns her eyes away still angry at Karma.

"My poison specs looks really good today." He smirks proudly.

Manami's eyes went wide open, that's a name she was given by Karma and she hasn't heard him call her that for a very long time. She blushes a little.

"K-Karma kun? You-you're-"

"Shhhh... " Karma leans in close to Manami and places his finger on her lips silencing her in instant and made her heart beat faster than normal rate.

"I'm going to make you mine." He smirks seductively, causing Manami's heartbeat to race even faster.

He places a soft kiss on Manami's cheeks, she blushes more and Karma giggles seeing his girl blushing like that.

"I love you, Manami." Confesses Karma.

Although Manami has heard him confess but this time it was different, this time it felt special. It was the first time he had addressed her by her first name and she liked it, No, she loved it.

"Thank you for being the one I fell in love with. Thank you for putting up with me even when I behaved like a total idiot. Thank you for for always being my friend even when things went wrong between us."

Manami was touched by his words, a tear drops from her face.

"And thank you for growing sexier in these past few weeks. So much so that  I can't resist not looking at your body."

Manami was caught off guard, she stood frozen bit knowing whether to be happy that he's back to his normal self or angry at such a comment.

Seeing the dumbstruck Manami, Karma couldn't help but laugh out loud.

"I'm just joking.... Manami, you don't need to look so shocked. You should know your prankster very well." He smirks proudly.

"Geez, Karma kun, you're back to pranking people again." She pouts.

She wanted to be upset but she just couldn't with the Karma in front of her. This was the Karma she fell in love with, the Karma who loved to prank people, the Karma who wouldn't get jealous without any reason. She felt a sense of happiness and relief. She leans close to Karma and gives him a hug, Karma hugs back. Manami lays down her head on Karma's shoulder. She could feel his heart beat and she could the warmth of his body.

"Now that I've told you my feelings, I'd really love to know how you feel about me Manami."

A smile appears on Manami's face, she looks upto Karma who was towering over her, she raises her toes, pulls him by his collar and places a kiss on his lips, catching Karma off guard for a second. Karma soon responds back to the kiss and wraps his arms around Manami's waist kissing her even deeper. Manami releases the kiss.

"I love you too Akabane Karma." Manami finally confesses her feelings for Karma.

Although Karma was somewhat already aware of Manami's feelings for him since the incident, it was still a beautiful to hear it from her itself. It made him happy and he sniffs, clearly trying to hold his tears back.

"Oi, you two. Are you done?" Shouts Asano from outside Karma's apartment.

"Oh come on. Leave us alone for a while." Scoffs Karma annoyed at Asano.

"Oh... Ok I see, you've already forgotten your friend who put in all the hard work to unite the two of you." Fake grunts Asano.

Manami and Karma laugh off at their angry friend and decided to let him not trouble their poor friend anymore, he was after all the one who did most of the hard work to reunite the two of them.
