“His smile is that could

Myung-He's POV

We stepped outside when after the sun settled down. The road was going to get outside of campus boundary to the shopping street nearby. It was about few meters down the highway from the school. The street was lively at night compared to the inner part which include our school and surrounding forest.

We walked slowly down the road that was only occasionally spotted with street lights. As though it sometimes remembered that it was dark Joengguk's hand brushed against mine casually.

Taking there being nobody around as a sign he groped around a bit then gripped my hand tightly in his.

My heart pounded.

I realized more and more that I never seemed to get used to it no matter how close I was with him. It was actually embarrassing how something as simple as holding hands as we walked could make my heart race. And Gguk was well aware of this.

"Hm? What's wrong?" he teased peering at my face.

"The...the stars are really pretty!," I excused.

"They are pretty!," He said peering at my eyes. His restrains are out of wind noticing nobody around.

"The sky was like this last night too. Until it suddenly started raining," I said as if I'm completely clueless what his intentions are.

In our room earlier I had told him everything. when I had told Gguk about what had happened the night before about how I dreamed of rain and couldn't sleep he had laughed a little but he didn't just brush me off.

"It was scary right?" he had asked kindly kissing my cheek.

With just that I was relieved and honestly felt loved.

"Myung, no matter what happens tonight I won't leave you behind so don't worry."

"I'd appreciate it if you don't," I looked up at Gguk with feelings.

"We walked for so long it's gotten pretty late. Let's take a shortcut," Gguk proposed as we were walking back.

"A shortcut?"

"The shopping street and school are on opposite sides of the woods. The highway swings around the side of the woods in a 'U' shape."

"Huh," I looked up at the dark green trees. It's look scary.

"And at the top of the 'U' is a forest path that connects the street and school. It's a direct path so it takes half the time the highway does to get to the school." He continued.

"Good deal huh?"

"yeah but," I wasn't really enthusiastic about it. "But you mean we would be going through the woods?"

"Yeah."

"There are no lights in the woods," I was never fond of entering a wood in the darkness.

"I don't like the darkness."

"Don't worry the moon is really bright tonight."

“Still.”

"I'll hold your hand Okay?" he smiled at me and I agreed.

Even an ice queen with a frozen heart couldn't help but respond when Jeongguk smile. There was a mysterious power behind his smile.

And he knew this. He started pulling me towards a corner of the woods. Stepping carefully so as to not slip on the weeds.

We were silent for some reason. Our hands were hot where they met. It made me unbelievably happy to just trust in Jeongguk and follow him like this.

Without the danger of running into anyone I gripped his hand tightly.
