"I have traveled through
madness to find you"

Myung-He's pov

The interior was dark. The furniture and fixtures were still obviously good quality even if they were worse for the passage of time.

"How is it?"

We were inside the old dormitory. Inside a horror house.

This is the place where Young master Taehyung died.

I had trouble answering about how I feel.

Terrifying? Horrific?

It's a little spooky and dark and mostly a pain to my heart.

The furniture was all there. The canopy bed was burned black from heat but it and the chandelier hanging from the ceiling was just like in my dream.

"I feel like I have been punched," I responded and Joengguk laughed lightly heading towards the window.

Still the window stayed open.
Like it has been waiting for somebody to enter for forty years.

"yeah. That's right on the head too."

There past Joengguk's shoulder spread the forest and It was all perfectly the same.

"Well there's no doubt now," Gguk came back to where I had been frozen behind him. "Let's go through the hallway on the way out." He wrapped his arm around my shoulder.

We headed back down the red velvet carpeted staircase.

"By the way Gguk why did that room catch fire anyway?"

"The newspaper said it was an electrical fire caused by faulty wiring."

We turned down the beautifully appointed hallway that looked like it belonged in a museum and headed towards the hallway.

"It was a strange accident though," Gguk said as though he had just thought of it.

"Why is it strange?"

I found myself stunned by Gguk's deep gaze. There was something I had been wondering about since earlier.

"Gguk, I have a question. Taehyung had died on his birthday. Isn't it strange not to celebrate a birthday as important as coming of age for a wealthy hire?

"Yes"

"So on the day of his birthday the man of the hour being holed up in his room at ten is strange right?"

"Yeah it is," Gguk nodded. "Mr.Hoseok said that Taehyung was friendly to Sierra. They've in love with each other"

"Yeah!."

"They must have been caught. That way Taehyung was locked inside his room."

"But they should have been able to see each other that night."

"Maybe they both must have known that he wouldn't see."

"I wonder why."

Why couldn't they see each other?

"Even Mr.Hoseok probably wouldn't know the answer to that."

"Seara couldn't meet Taehyung, but a third-party person could connect them. Probably Jeon Jungkook, who she could trust with whatever she wants to convey to Taehyung."

"Because they're siblings." I agreed with him. That's just natural. I do wish if I had a sister I would gush about Jeongguk to her.

He opened the large door to the hallway.

The furniture and carpet had been stripped away from the room and there were several cords hanging from the ceiling where light fixtures had been. It was a large room and it felt somehow cold.

Being the heir of Kim there is a high chance they hang a picture of the young master along with the other important Kim family members, especially the Bangtan owned by Kim.

The chance of a young master being so popular forty years ago sent a chill up to my nape. If only everything went right.

How unfortunate for the couple. The sudden surge of sadness makes me cry over a failed love story. It makes me feel so silly and unreasonable.

I could get a glimpse of the array of pictures of those Kim ancestors on the wall. It started with the old Kim.

Kim Namjoon, the bold letters were covered under spider web. Kim Namjoon was powerful and handsome. He showed off his wealth and status.

My eyes glanced at the next one and sawa pretty woman. Obviously I could tell it's Mrs Kim, Kim Jisoo by her elegant look.

Next to the parent was a portrait of their adopted daughter Kim Manobal. She was just like her mother. Beautiful and elegant. This portrait is much better than the grainy newspaper photos.

But there above the fireplace mantle was a single painting. Little further away and I read the name which was disturbing my mind ever since I heard it first.

Kim Taehyung.

I glanced hesitantly upward.

There in the painting leaning on the same mantle a boy stood looking out at me.

I gasped in shock.
