Alpha Hall's pack is beautiful.

It's such a serene environment and I could see myself falling in love with it. If I get the chance to anyways.

Alpha Hall.

During this whole ride it's been radio silence on that end. They discuss among themselves but neither of them had said anything to me. I didn't even know his first name yet.

He pulls up to a very big house and gets down. I make to come down but he looks my way for the first time today and commands with a stern face "stay", like you would a dog and walks away.

It hurts but I swallow it back. I've survived worse than this. They are gone for a long while but there's still no sign of them. I check my watch and see that I've been sitting here for two hours straight.

I'm tired of sitting but I'm scared to come down from the car. I know my mate's not Novu but I can't help but sit still as commanded, subconsciously scared of the punishment that would come if I disobey.

A group of kids come playing by, laughing as they chased one another around and I stare at them, envious of their innocence. I can't help but think of the one I have nestled within me, growing even now. It is also innocent, innocent of anything his father had done.

A car comes speeding down the drive way where we're parked in and the kids scatter but one falls before he's clear. The cars not slowing down and I know it's going to hit the child. I move before I think. Out of the car, racing to the child, picking him up and diving out of harm's way just in time before the car passes and parks a few feet from our car.

The driver comes out, a short lady and moves towards me as I put the kid down, her face an angry mask. I vaguely hear the sound of footsteps coming close as I focus my attention on her.

"Are you mad"? She shrieks in my face "or better yet do you have a death wish? And if you do, go look for another way to die instead of jumping in front of my car"

"If I hadn't done that you would have ran over this pup you clearly didn't see" I say back to her.

"Well he shouldn't have been on the road in the first place" she says then take a deep breath and I think she's about to apologise. "The next time I see you or your pup on the road, I won't swerve and risk my life, I'll actually run you over" she says instead.

For the first time in a long time I feel angry. It so freeing and different that I welcome it with both hands and hold onto it. "How dare you, you inconsiderate insect. You almost run over a pup and you couldn't even apologize? He's a child, children obviously play here and if you had half a brain in that oversized head of yours you'd have slowed down when you saw them" I rant in anger and step away from them, leaving her gaping at me.

When I turn, my eyes clash with a pair of emeralds that are absolutely livid. He's standing beside the car with his beta as I walk towards him.

"What part of 'stay' did you not understand"? He asks with a clenched jaw when I get close enough to him. His voice a deadly calm and low enough that makes me shiver in fear.

"I'm sorry I.."

"Get in the car" he cuts me off and gets in, starting the engine and gripping the steering wheel so tight his knuckles go white.

When I climb in, I notice his beta didn't enter, leaving just us two and I wonder if he was taking me to his home. We drive for a while, leaving behind most of the houses and the general population as we continue to move. The car comes to a stop a while later at a clearing that holds a cabin. It's a nice cottage not so small but not big either.

He comes down and gestures for me to do so as well.

"This is where you'll be staying, your new home" he points to the cabin.
