Sarah and Ava jumped off the train and boarded the carriages that lead the way to Hogwarts. Unfortunately, Draco and Blaise jumped onto their carriage at the last minute. Sarah and Ava shared a look, both rolling their eyes into the back of their heads. "Nice to see you again, Ava." Sarah snorted as Ava kicked her leg under her robes.
Sarah leant over to Ava and whispered, "Can I just jump and do a summersault off of the carriage? If I'm really lucky, I might even break my neck." Ava laughed as Draco and Blaise glanced at each other as if to say those two have gone insane."Are you enjoying yourselves while you two gush over Harry Potter? I swear you and Blaise have bigger crushes on him than Ron Weasley." Both Ava and Sarah started to bend over laughing, almost pushing each other out of the carriage to which they were seriously reprimanded; Snape would literally not shut up when they got inside the castle. Suddenly the carriages halted to a stop as the students reached Hogwarts and disembarked. Sarah and Ava split ways as Sarah joined Hermione, Ron, and Harry and Ava continued on with Blaise and Draco.
Sarah had only traveled a few feet when she heard Ava rather loudly shout, "Bye honey! Don't get lost and eat your vegetables. See you at dinner." To which Sarah kindly replied with a middle finger adorning both of her hands.
Sarah skipped up to Hermione, her closest friend in Gryffindor, and threw one arm around her shoulders. "Hermione! How was your summer?"
"It was fantastic. I got a head start on this year's readings!" Sarah shared an incredulous look with Ron while Harry seemed to be in another world. She guessed it was due to the whole dementor incident, which was also one of Malfoy's favorite topics on the never-ending carriage ride to the school.
"I will never understand you, Hermione. You are just one of the many mysteries of the world. Well, you and the reason why Pansy Parkinson always looks like she's constipated." Sarah faked a dramatic sigh, shaking her head in dismay and exasperation.
"I don't like Pansy either, but you really loathe her. Is it like a side effect of your lifelong feud with Draco?" Hermione's tendrils always had a fun way of blanketing her eyesight when she moved her head.
"Actually, no it isn't. Pansy thinks I'm secretly in love with Malfoy, and she's afraid I'm going to steal him from her. I don't even like Malfoy! Also, Malfoy barely likes Pansy from what Ava's told me."
"Anyone with one half-working eye can see that Pansy crawls after Malfoy like a lost puppy," Ron basically shouted as he chimed in.
"Sarah! Ron! That's enough! Do you think Pansy is talking about you like this?" Hermione scolded them. Sarah imagined she was McGonagall for a minute, and she was about to get assigned detention. Sarah tried to wipe that thought out of her mind as she shuttered in distaste.
Ron and Sarah exclaimed in unison,"Yes!" To be fair, Pansy was probably talking about them too. Finally, the group reached the Gryffindor common room; Harry still had not said a single word the entire time it took them to walk up to the common room. Sarah was worried for Harry, but things like this always happened to him, and he always found a way to get through them. Sarah pushed her worry for Harry to the back of her mind as she started to unpack in her designated room along with the other girls in her year. It wasn't long until they left for dinner in the great hall.
Sarah and Hermione started to make their way to dinner, looking for Harry and Ron. They appeared to be late as usual, so Hermione and Sarah found an area for them to sit. Sarah was suddenly pushed forward; she turned around ready to punch whoever just hit her back. To no ones' surprise, Sarah caught Ava's eye as she basically ran away from Sarah. Draco and Sarah had a more emotional feud. They never hit each other. Instead, they got other people to do it for them. There was no shortage of people in Gryffindor who were looking to punch any Slytherin, especially Draco Malfoy, when given the chance. He was just popular that way.
Soon, Dumbledore's voice could be heard echoing over the great hall as the choir returned to their seats. Sarah leaned across the table to Ron and Harry who, unlike Hermione, appreciated her sarcastic and frequent remarks and whispered, "Dumbledore. Oh, Dumbledore. May your beard be as long as your dick."
As she, Harry, and Ron tried to hide their laughter, Hermione hit her on the arm, "He could be saying something important, and we could miss it because of you three!"
Sarah was just about to retort when Malfoy interrupted, teasing Harry about fainting. Ron proceeded to tell him to shut his mouth as Sarah gave him a fearsome look that even Snape would appreciate. Ava just gave a slight shrug when Sarah looked at her.
Hermione leaned over to Sarah, still glaring at Draco's back, "How are you even friends with Ava? You hate Malfoy, and she's just sitting there eating with him."
Sarah sharply replied, "What do you expect, Hermione? They are in the same house and in most classes together." Hermione just scoffed and focused her attention back to Dumbledore's speech that Sarah was not paying attention to until the
mention of Azkaban. A stream of concerned and confused whispers flowed down the table while Sarah, Ron, and Hermione all looked at Harry in worry.
After Dumbledore's dramatic speech, students began to flood out of the great hall and up towards their common rooms. All of the Gryffindors waited impatiently as the Fat Lady "sung", not letting them in. The girls in Sarah's class all waltzed into their room and began to prepare for bed. All of them were gushing about which of the boys got hot and, surprisingly, there was a large number of votes for Harry. Sarah personally could not see it and expressed that extremely strong opinion. All of the other girls, excluding Hermione, let out gasps of shock. Kitkat Marsh even went as far to say, "You don't think Harry's hot because you're in love with Draco." All of the other girls started dying laughing as Sarah groaned and spewed choice words about how Malfoy was disgusting and how she wouldn't willingly talk to him, let alone touch him if given the choice. Still, no one listened; everyone knew that Sarah and Draco hated each other and saying that they were in love was the perfect way to get either of them riled up. Sarah screamed into the pillow and turned off the lights, furthering her roommates' laughter.

enjoy!!
