It blew up.

The video of Isaac and I was everywhere on the internet. I didn't care, the deed had been done and now I was packing.

I was checking and rechecking to make sure I didn't leave anything behind, Aaron watching like I was TV. Once I freaked about my toothbrush, where did I put the bloody thing, he held my shoulders.

"Sarah? Look at me. Are you alright?"

"Not now. But I will be."

He sighed. "If you say so."

I didn't even register what he said. I was busy staring at his lips. They were small and soft and pink and so fucking near ... "Aaron? Kiss me."

"Gladly."

This one was hungry. Two bodies new to each other, searching, wanting, demanding. We would have stayed longer if someone hadn't cleared his throat at our open door. I didn't have to look to know who it was.

"I know, I know." I turned to my father. "I go home right now and I'm grounded till I'm thirty."

He sighed. "No you're not. I'm proud of you."

I was shocked. "You? Proud of me? For what?"

"I saw what you did, with Isaac. That must have been a really tough decision for you."

I couldn't help it. I sobbed. And then flung into his arms. "It was. Thank you father, for being proud of me."

He kissed my head. "Anytime Sarah. Now, you'll go home, get some sleep and tommorow you go back to school."

"To school?" I released myself. "I'm still suspended."

"Not anymore. I made Mr Hoot lift it."

"Hmm. Money gives you power doesn't it?"

"It also keeps my family safe." He shocked me, like literally shocked me, by bringing out cash from his pocket and tossing it to Aaron who caught it in one hand, his signature grin on his face. He tossed it back to my father.

"Give it to Olivia. She did good. Sarah actually hates her."

My mouth dropped open. I stared at him, then my father, back, forth, back, forth, back ...

"What sorcery is this?"

They laughed, Aaron bothered to explain. "Contrary to what you believe, your dad actually knows you. He knew you would come to Sydney though he said no, to this hotel and he didn't want you to be alone in an unfamiliar country so he called his friends, mine and Olivia's dad to be exact, and we made the plan."

I blinked. "The rule about hotel policy?"

"Lie."

"That diversion you created, the woman, it was just an act, father already knew I was there?"

"Yes. Plus, the woman is my mum."

That did it. I ran to him, beating his chest. "I cannot believe you. I thought you were my friend!"

"I am! I'd even like to be more. Sarah, I promise you everything else was real. I didn't lie about anything else. I already told him I was starting to like you."

Father peeled me away from him. " Alright, that's enough. I did what I had to do, let's get you back home."

I huffed, hoisted my bag up my shoulder, ignored Aaron's offer to help me and glared at my father. "I cannot believe you."

He chuckled. "Your mother always says that."

Before I went out of the hotel, I heard Aaron yelling my name. I decided to set aside my mild anger and look back.

He didn't talk. He mouthed the words.

Call me.
