Lily woke up feeling quite uneasy. She was alone, confused and very cold, which was a new feeling for her. Beats her usual scolding skin, she thought. She rose from a foreign bed and noticed she was clean. Hair washed, body washed, fresh pyjamas? She must be dreaming. Either that or she's been kidnapped. She hoped for the first option.

She stood up studying the room she was in. It was a large bedroom covered in dark oak, old fashioned yet beautiful. Carefully, she made her way over to the nearby wardrobe and pulled it open slowly. She wasn't sure what she was expecting, booby traps maybe?

Instead of what she expected, she was pleasantly surprised when she noticed all of her belongings hung up inside, other items of hers were scattered in holding boxes. Shrugging, she pulled out a tight black sweater and a pair of black jeans, along with her heeled boots. She wasn't sure what was going to be outside of the room she was in, but whatever it is can't be so mean that they unpacked all of her suitcase so delicately, right?

After a few minutes of debating with herself, Lily crept out of the room she was in and was in awe when she saw how huge the place was. There were multiple floors, halls and rooms surrounding her and she knew for a fact she was about to get lost.

Instead of trying to find her way to other people, she decided to head for the light that was beaming through an open door down an empty hallway. When she came to it, she didn't expect what she saw.

"Are you two completely mental?"

Lily stood in the doorway of the large building, watching as Charles held a gun up to Eriks temple. It wasn't the worst thing she'd seen the past few days but it certainly wasn't what she expected.

The two men glanced at her for a brief moment before regaining concentration on each other, completely ignoring her question.

"You're sure?" Charles said as he placed his finger on the trigger.

"I'm sure" Erik responded with a wide grin spread across his face.

Lily was sure these two men were insane, so stepped in before any permanent damage was done.

"Okay so before you do that, would one of you care to tell me where the fuck I am?" Lily said as more of a statement than a question, faking a polite expression on her face. Charles lowered the gun from Eriks head and let out a relieved sigh.

"No. I'm sorry Erik, I can't shoot anybody point blank let alone my friend" Charles said, hand shaking slightly as he watched his friends face turn into a frown.

"Oh come, you know I can deflect it" Erik said, grabbing the gun in Charles' hand and bringing it back to his temple.

Lily watched in complete astonishment as these two men had the cheek to act like she was not even there.

"Hello? Am I completely invisible or something or are you two just incredibly rude" She said harshly as she grabbed the gun from Charles' hand and held it up to Eriks temple. "I'll shoot you myself if you don't start answering some of my questions" She threatened. This only made Erik smirk and hold his hands up in fake defeat.

"By all means" He said, earning a glare from Lily. She huffed, knowing it wouldn't do any damage to him anyway and placed the gun down on the nearby stone wall.

"Sorry Lily, I was just trying to train Erik a little. Care to join?" Charles asked. Something about his voice was calm, soothing. It relaxed her slightly and she shifted awkwardly in her spot.

"Oh, no. I don't know what's going on here but i'm out. I don't know you people and you don't know me-" She began but was cut off.

"Oh but you're so wrong, Lily. I do know you. I've seen inside your mind, i've seen who you are and it's truly remarkable. I can help you to control it" Charles offered, holding out his hand and Lily became more and more uncomfortable.

"If you've seen as much as you say you have then you should know by now that it can't be controlled. It's too little too late, Charles" she replied sadly, about to turn away from the two men.

No one else has to get hurt, Lily

"Would you stop doing that" Lily snapped towards Charles as he gave her a sheepish smile. Erik chuckled lightly making her turn towards him with her eyebrows raised, wondering what he was finding so amusing.

"He has a habit of invading ones privacy" he stated, making Charles roll his eyes.

"Come, stay with us just a little while longer" Charles asked again but Lily shook her head. She couldn't risk hurting anyone else.

"Thanks Charles but I think i'm better off alone" She said before turning on her heels. "I better go get my things" She said sadly as she walked away from the two.

A few minutes had passed and she was about to be out of sight of the two men when she heard a loud screech. She turned suddenly and was shocked when she realised what she was witnessing. There Erik stood, turning a large satellite in the distance to face towards them. Lily stood in place watching the scene unravel before her. It was amazing, unbelievable in fact. He was really doing that. She could almost feel the power radiating off him.

Before she knew what she was doing, Lily walked down the steps in which she had just ascended and stood only inches away from Eriks turned frame.

"Well done, Erik" Charles congratulated his friend with a pat on the back before looking back to a speechless Lily. Erik turned also and faced the young brunette. He couldn't help but notice how beautiful she looked. Tired, yet beautiful and he could tell her power was screaming to get out. She was screaming to get out.

"That was.. amazing" She said as she let out a breath she didn't realise she was holding in. "You really just did that" She said again, a smile crossing her face as she studied Eriks body. She was assessing him, almost sizing up his power. She didn't realise she was doing so, nor did she realise how it looked from the two men's point of view. It looked as though Lily was simply checking him out.

"Are you quite finished?" Erik asked, making Lily's head snap up towards his smug looking face. She hid her blush with her fallen hair and smirked slightly, realising now how it must've looked.

"I'm finished" She said, chuckling slightly. This was the first time the two men had seen the young girl smile, let alone laugh. Her laugh was infectious, even Erik couldn't deny that. Charles couldn't help but allow a proud smile to cross his face, feeling as though the two men had already impacted her life in a positive way. She probably hadn't smiled in years, he thought after replaying the memory of hers in his head.

"What am I, Charles?" Lily asked, turning to face the man with a puzzled look on his face. He was afraid to tell her of her true power, but he knew if he kept it from her it could only make her spiral.

"Well, Lily. You're truly unique" Charles began, turning to her. "I believe you can create fire, energy, heat. You can control it, consume it" He said with a small twinkle in his eye. Lily didn't know it yet, but Charles was most excited to train her. Her abilities were special and he wanted to know more. "The fire that burns within you, Lily, it's not going away" He said and her smile faltered for a second. "The fire is you. You're stronger than you know, and I have no doubt in my mind that with a little training, you can have full control of your gifts, your truly amazing gifts" He finished and Lily was speechless. For some reason, she could tell he wasn't lying.

It made sense, the burning in her skin, the accidental fires, all of it made sense and she wasn't about to give up finding out who she truly was.

"Then when do we start" Lily said grinning as she dropped her bags beside her, causing Erik and Charles to share a small smile.
