Without A Doubt

You are immediately greeted by your older brother when entering the mansion.

"Slendy!" He shouts joyously, coming towards you with his arms wide, "You're finally back! What took you so lo– Oh!" He stops in shock upon seeing you carrying someone. You walk past him, continuing your way to the living room where you know for a fact that everyone is gathered there.

You stop in the entryway, "I have an urgent matter to attend to at the moment so I will be joining you later on," You announce to them, the looks on their faces ranging from curiosity to disgust, "When I come back, I will inform you on what is happening. Until then, everyone is to stay in this room. If any one of you leaves before I return, all of you will be punished. Trender, please grab some clothing for my guest and bring them to my office," Then you head to your office, ignoring the yelling and questions that follow.

Quickly taking care of your guest, you put them in the secret room of your office before going back down to the others. Once they see you, multiple people start to speak at the same time. You don't bother to decipher who's speaking or what they're saying. Sitting down in your chair, you let them go on, hoping that they run out of steam. Sadly, it's a vain hope.

"Silence," You command. The room becomes quiet as they stare at you, waiting. You take a moment to figure out what you want to reveal and what should be kept a secret for now.

"As you may have noticed, we have a new guest," You slowly begin, wondering how long you'll be able to speak uninterrupted, "I understand that many of you are upset by this but I have my reasons for bringing them here. In fact, I want them to live here–"

"WHAT?!" Several exclaim simultaneously.

"Are you out of your goddamn mind?!" One of your more troublesome residents snarls, standing up with a knife in his hand.

"No, Jeffery, I am not out my mind–"

"Then why would you fucking bring and want to keep some random ass human here?"

You are almost tempted to not correct him but you feel that would be unfair to the others. Then again, saying it outright would make it too easy for them.

"I never said they were human yet I never said they weren't," You reply, "And I won't tell you if they are or not. Nor will I tell you anything about their past unless it's necessary for you to know. If you want to know something then you'll have to ask them but I strongly suggest that you wait at least a week for questions,"

"Why?" Your youngest resident asks.

You give her a pat on the head, "They're in a very fragile state, my dear. Because of this, there is the possibility that they won't survive long. If they can last a week it will mean they were strong by deciding to live,"

You hear a snort come from Jeff, "They sound pretty damn weak to me," Before you can reprimand him, Splendor hits him in the head with his cane.

"Thank you, Splendor. Jeffery?" You call to get his attention.

"What?" He grumbles, rubbing his head.

"They are dealing with having missing pieces of their soul after having a complete one for a few years. This happened a couple of months ago and only now is their sanity at risk. This is just one of the things they are going through. They are far from weak but at this moment they are far from strong," You sigh, standing up, "Come on, Sally, it's time for bed. I expect to see all of you at breakfast tomorrow," You take her hand and head to her room upstairs.

"Slendy?" She asks.

"Yes, dear?"

"Do you think Jeff is going to start something with the guest at breakfast?"

"Without a doubt, my dear, without a doubt,"
