It's one of the most precious time of the year, Valentine's Day. A beautiful red rose like me will surely get bought. I sat in a flower pot waiting for the customer to choose me.
"A bouquet of roses please" a guy said. He was biting on his nails. "It's my first Valentine's ever. I already got some chocolates, jewelry, matching shirts and I just need the roses when I pick her up for our date"
"Wonderful. I remember my first Valentine. What I would give to be young again. Well you are at the right place and we have fresh roses here for you". Marie the owner of the flower shop said.
I was picked and gathered together with other roses.
Later on my owner and I came to a house and he knocked on the door.
A girl open the door. He handed me to her first. Said some words of love. She cried and hugged him. They went inside. She rested me on the coffee table and they began opening the other gifts.
"Oh I'm going to put these roses in some water. I'll be back" the girl said.
"No no I'll do it for you" the guy said.
"The vases are in the store room though".
"It's fine my love he said" and he headed off to the store room without me.
"Wait" she called but he was already gone.
As she was reaching to pick me up to smell me she accidentally hit his phone off the table. They were taking pics earlier and he rested it there.
She reached to pick it up and then she gasped at the sight.
"What are these messages? Oh I see that's why his phone was on silent".
She read and started to cry.
"Oh I forgot the roses darling..."
"Yeah and you also forgot that you had a girlfriend when you were texting that ..."
"You weren't supposed to see that"
"Does that matter?"
"It's not what you think"
They quarreled and he soon left.
She took me up and threw me down. Then she took me up again and started picking my petals off.
"He loves me. He loves me not" She said with each pick.
She continued until there was nothing left.
Who knows how their story ends, all I know that was the end of me.
The End.
