Chapter 2

Every Wednesday I go to my favorite cafe to grade and read, it's honestly the best part of my week. I walked in and the delicious scent of tea and coffee filled my nostrils. I smiled as I walked up to the counter. I was greeted by Jihyo, very nice man. "Ahh Jennie, I'll get you your usual. I love your outfit" I would usually spaz out but he gave me a genuine smile and he gives the same compliment every time I walk in.

I pay for my drink which is a large green tea with honey. As I was waiting I was talking to Jihyo's wife, Dara. She seemed a little sad "Dara what's wrong?" she just looked at me and gave me a sad smile.

"Jihyo's sister and her husband passed away in a car crash with a drunk driver. Jihyo hides all his emotions so he's not taking it well. Since we were the godparents, we have custody of their daughter. She's a very beautiful young woman, mature, and she loves to read just like you" she pointed to the book in my hand.

"I'm sorry for your loss, how old is she? what's her name?" Dara looked at me and smiled. I didn't know why though. "Aunt Dara" I heard a  beautiful voice. I turned my head to see Lisa in all baggy clothes, her hair in a bun, reading glasses, and a book in her hand. She didn't even notice me as she walked next to me

"May I have some tea please?" Dara nodded and handed me my tea. I looked down at Lisa and she brushed a strand of hair behind her ear, she looked so cute.

Lisa glanced at me and looked at Dara but then Lisa fully turned to me in shock "Miss Kim!" I giggled along with Jihyo and Dara. Her face reddened of embarrassment. "Hello Lisa, I was just talking about you with your aunt" she fiddled with her thumbs and bit her lip.

"Add in shy and oblivious" I nodded and walked over to my table to start reading. After a minute I saw someone sit across from me so I looked up to see Lisa. "Did you want me to move?" I shook my head no and she nodded.

I examined her as she read her book, the way she bit her lip in anticipation when she turned the page, the way she would raise her eyebrow at unknown words. She looked at me and we made eye contact.

"Do you know this word?" She turned the book to me and the word was 'coitus' I looked at her and back at the book. "Coitus is another word for sex" she tilted her head to the side and raised an eyebrow

"Like gender?" I shook my head no and her face turned red. "Thanks...I'll use a dictionary next time" she took a deep breath before taking the book back.

I looked down at my book and I heard "You're really beautiful" I looked up at her and folded my arms. Her eyes widened

"Wait-not like-in a creepy way I just meant that you're hot- Wait I mean attractive- pretty...yeah...pretty" she buried her face into her book and I chuckled to myself. Jungkook if he was a girl. I wonder if she's a virgin. Why am I wondering this, I need to calm down before I go to jail. "Thanks for the compliment, are you a virgin?" She looked at me and I cursed under my breath.

"Is it that obvious?" for some reason that pleased me. I shook my head and she lowered her book "I like it better in America, I thought I would judged because...I prefer women but it's different here. More accepting" I tried not to smile. I just nodded and looked back at my book

"What about you Miss Kim, are you straight?" I looked up at her immediately but she was already looking the other way with a red face. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean for it to come off like that...this is why I don't have friends"

Her question made my cheeks burn, luckily she wasn't looking at me. "I don't have a preference on gender. It is hard to date when you're always being watched" she raised her eyebrow as she turned her head to me. I took a sip of my tea

"The police car across the street" she looked past me and sadness showed in her eyes. I sighed "Isn't stalking someone illegal, even if you're a cop?" I nodded while taking a sip of my tea.

"He probably thinks I'm on a date with you" her eyes widened then she looked at me. She fiddled with her thumbs and said "But you wouldn't date a student" her tone changed into sadness. I closed my book and stood up

"It depends on the circumstances" her eyes lit up and before walking away I said "I could go to jail for that so I don't think that I would pursue a student. Then again I'm very unexpected" I walked off and I felt her eyes on me the whole time.

I started walking down the street to my car but I felt a hand grab my arm. I turned around to see Bobby so I jerked my arm away. "Who the hell were you on a date with?" I grabbed my keys and started walking to my car.

"That girl was a minor Jennie, don't get yourself in trouble" I kept walking but I was stopped when he stood in front of me. He took his handcuffs out of the holder and looked at me. I felt like crying.

"Damnit Bobby, that girl was a student at the school and she lives at the cafe with her aunt and uncle because her parents died. She literally showed up today. I can't even have a discussion with someone without you trying to arrest me for statutory rape. I fucking hate you, you're a fucking stalker and I want you out of my life!" I felt a few tears escape my eyes. People were just looking at us and I wiped my eyes "If you bother me or follow me again I'm getting a restraining order" I walked past him and went to my car.

On the drive home I couldn't stop thinking about her and what I said to Bobby. Maybe I was too harsh...no, he deserved it. Hopefully he leaves me alone and stops stalking me.

Once I got home I went straight upstairs to my bathroom and got into the shower. The warm water that ran down my skin felt heavenly. I got out, dried myself off, and put on some clothes. I started looking through my closet for an outfit for tomorrow when I heard the floor creak. I turned to the door to see a completely drunk Bobby leaning on the doorframe, how the hell did he get into my house. "Hey sexy" his words slurred together. He started walking towards me and I started backing up.

He grabbed me and threw me on the bed then he started kissing my neck and groping me. "STOP-" he grabbed my butt and squeezed then his kisses started going lower

"I'm getting what I want whether you let me or not" he spread my legs and started unbuckling his pants "Bobby no!!" he grabbed me by my neck. I just held his hands

"WHY DON'T YOU LOVE ME. I'M NOT STUPID, I SEE THE WAY YOU LOOK AT THAT GIRL. WHY DO YOU HATE ME?" I looked at him trying not to cry.

I gasped for air in between my words "You're right-I'm sorry Bobby,-I love you" he let go and I leaned in and softly kissed his lips while trying not to gag "I'm on my period so we can't have sex right now" he grabbed my arm and squeezed "Why are you lying, your period came on last week" how the hell did he know that. I chuckled softly and kissed his cheek

"Periods can come late, I wasn't expecting it. Go home and call me tomorrow...but how'd you get in the house?" he just looked at the ground with his hands clenched but he unclenched them.

"I copied your key...I'll see you tomorrow " he kissed me roughly. His cracked lips felt terrible on mine. He walked out and once I heard the front door close I cried my eyes out.
