Chapter 11

Spring break was short and Bobby didn't leave me alone the whole time. I was mostly with Jungkook, building up our plan and Bobby would always be listening. Right now Jungkook and I were in the back of a police car, driving with Bobby. It was after school and I was beyond annoyed. Right now Jungkook and I were talking about him getting a promise ring for his boyfriend. "We should go without him...alone" I giggled and shook my head.

"I can't-" Bobby came to a stop and we were at the police station. He chuckled as he let us out of the car. Jungkook sat in the corner of the room and Bobby sat next to the guy who was testing me. Lucas walked in, we were really good friends when I dated Bobby, he's a real nice guy but he's married. Bobby was smirking as I was being hooked up to the device.

Lucas sighed as he pulled up a chair and sat next to me "Is your name Jennie Ruby Jane Kim? Are you 29 years of age? Are you a high school teacher?" I answered yes to all of those questions and the proctor nodded. "Is there anything you want to say before we start?" I nodded and he raised an eyebrow "I have a confession to make at the end of this test, I also have a request" Lucas nodded and he continued the test.

He started off with small questions about my hobbies and things like that then it went into information about Jungkook. I answered honestly and then it was time for the big reveal "Are you having an affair with Jeon Jungkook?" I looked at Bobby and he grinned. I grinned back and his face dropped "No" they all looked at the proctor and he nodded. "Are you having an affair with Lisa Manoban?" I looked at Lucas and giggled a little bit "No" the proctor nodded. When I was a swimmer, I learned how to calm my heartbeat...it helps a lot when you need to lie.

"I guess that's it, what was your confession?" I looked straight at Bobby as I said this "Last week I went home and took a shower, when I got out and got dressed, I turned around and Bobby was drunk in my doorway. He walked to me and threw me on the bed" Bobby's eyes were wide along with everyone else in the room. I felt the tears fall down "He groped me and kissed me and I told him to stop, he started to unbuckle his pants but I yelled at him, I remember him saying something along the lines of "I'm getting what I want whether you let me or not"" Bobby looked at the ground. My tears were getting heavier.

"He grabbed me by my neck and choked me. He yelled at me and admitted to have copied my key in order to get into my house. My only request is that you get him away from me. Get me a restraining order or something please, he's been tormenting me ever since we broke up. He told everyone in the whole fucking town that I was sleeping with my students because I wasn't sleeping with him. Please...just get him far, far away from me. I don't want to see his face ever again" Lucas looked at me with sad eyes and it went silent

"She's telling the truth" we all looked at the proctor and Lucas nodded. I pulled out my phone and let them listen to the recording. Lucas stood up and grabbed his handcuffs "Bobby you have the right to remain silent, anything you say or do can and will be used against you in the court of law..." seeing Bobby be put in handcuffs was almost as good as getting head from Lisa.

Lucas dropped us both off home and apologized. As soon as I got there I got into my car and drove to the cafe. I got there I went straight to Lisa's room. I closed the windows then I jumped on her. She woke up and I kissed her, I started kissing down her neck and she was clearly confused "What's gotten into you?" I went back to her lips and kissed her very passionately. I parted her lips with my tongue and let our tongues swirl together. I pulled back and I bit her lip softly to punish her for spring break.

She just looked at me, I saw lust in her eyes. She pinned me under her on the bed and started kissing my neck. She started unbuttoning my shirt and I felt like I might've turned her on a bit too much. I feel a walk of shame coming on later tonight.

I was right, I walked downstairs and saw Dara cleaning. I cursed under my breath and she looked at me, she leaned on the counter and grinned "Walk of shame?" I cleared my throat as I slowly walked to the counter "Is that what you would call it?" she giggled and continued to clean. She smiled and said "You're really helping her, a couple weeks ago Lisa wouldn't even talk...not because she was being rude but because she was always reading. I have a theory.." I looked at her and she just stared at the ground.

"I think she was kidnapped" my jaw dropped and I shook my head. Dara sighed "I'm serious Jennie. I feel like she reads to escape...to live vicariously through someone else so she doesn't have to remember her own life. But you make that better. The love she feels when you're around her makes her forget...you're her drug. She'll never get enough of you. I feel like you have that effect on everyone you meet. And for anyone who dates you...they get it the worst" I was very confused at the last part and Dara shrugged her shoulders "I did some research on Bobby, his parents died by a burglar breaking into their house, a couple months later he met you. He was the happiest man alive. When you broke up, his happiness was stripped away, he couldn't handle it" I was about to scold her.

"I'm not saying what he did wasn't wrong, I'm just saying that if you do breakup with Lisa, it's like forcing her past back onto her. She'll go insane and do crazy things to get you back. She wants to live in an eternal euphoria...with you" Dara looked at me and stopped cleaning. She put her rag over her shoulder and giggled "But it's just a theory, goodnight Jennie" she walked into the back room and I left.

On the ride home I couldn't stop thinking about what Dara said. I pulled into my driveway and I saw someone standing on my doorstep. I got out and walked to the person, it was Lucas. "Hey Lucas" He turned to me and sighed. He handed me some pictures and I was so confused. All of them were of me kissing Lisa, Lucas folded his arms "I found these in Bobby's desk, do you know how much time you could get for this, let alone lying." I had no words, I thought I was free. He handed me another picture and it was of me looking at Lisa while she was reading.

"I look at my wife like that, we can keep this our little secret, have a nice night Jennie" he walked off and I smiled. As he was walking down the driveway I yelled "I've always liked you Lucas!" He laughed as he turned the corner. I walked in my house and for the first time, I felt safe...I'm still locking all the doors though...just to be sure.

Atlast, bobby is out of the picture..... or so I thought. 🤔
