I went to my room, grabbing a pair of clothing as I went to the bathroom within it. I went to the shower, turning the handle until warm water came from the shower head above. I slipped off the robe, taking off my somewhat clean pajamas and climbed into the shower - the water hitting my scalp as I cleaned up.
After a while, I got out - putting on a red shirt with a black leather jacket over it and black jeans and boots. I combed through my hair, seeing that it got longer as it curled up as it dried.
I walked out, going down the hallways to the control room - seeing the Doctor with his back towards the entrance where I was. I walked up behind him, wrapping my arms around him as I felt him loosen up once her realized it was me.
"Well, I see your back." He smiled at me as he turned around. I smiled at him and nodded.
"Yep. Just got a shower." I said as he walked around the panel, looking at monitors and scribbled things down on some paper, pressing buttons randomly for a result.
"Hey, uh, Kalena. Can we talk for a moment?" I turned around, seeing Jack peaking aroung the entrance of the TARDIS. I looked at the Doctor, who secretly smiled at me as I went out into the hall.
"What's up?" I asked as he rubbed his head. "I want to apologies for being a..." He hesitated, trying to find the right word. "Huge jerk this morning. I'm just so stressed about this trouble I'm in, I've deprived myself of sleep." Jack yawned and pressed his palm against his forehead. "I understand." I said quietly as the humming came back, kind of relieving me of the awkward situation. "You just get some rest. The Doctor and I have it under control." I watched as he smiled and turned away, walking to his room and close the door behind him. I walked back into the control room, seeing the Doctor waiting for me with a smile.
"I take it that you talked to him?" I smiled as he nodded. "I somehow managed to get it into his head after you stormed off." He chuckled. "Somehow. Now come on!" He grabbed my hand and pulled me to the TARDIS doors. "What?" I asked as he turned to me.
"Jack is having one of his 'episodes'. He get one every time when he is in trouble. He deprives himself of sleep and then, boom, he's asleep for about seven to ten hours. Which leaves us to do nothing. So, I figured we could go out for a bit." He smiled, which made me blush slightly. He opened the door, helping me out as I looked at him. "So, like a date?"
"Yeah. Like a date." I smiled at his response, and grabbed his hand. "Well, I've never really on a date before." I admitted as he smiled and gripped my hand. "Well, this will be one that you won't forget." We walked out of the alley, seeing light illuminate the sky above us as music became a little louder. When we finally reached the end, I was a little overwhelmed.
"A carnival?" I looked over at him as he smiled and put his arm around me. I leaned my head on his shoulder as we walked around. "Yep. I figured that we needed a break from the usual routine. This was the solution to our needs." I looked up at him again, seeing the multicolored lights light up the accents of his face.
"This is why I love you." I said as I kissed his cheek. "Now, where to first?" He asked me as I looked around - not really having a clue what to do. "Surprise me." I said as he smiled. "Alright, but first close your eyes." He said as I shut them and then asked. "Why?"
"You wanted a surprise, right? It won't be a surprise if you see." I giggled at his point, knowing it was true as he lead me around.
After a while, he finally stopped. "Alright. Now open."
