Everytime I am with him, the feelings are anticipating - wonderful beyond words could explain.
The compassion.
The little things he did.
The things that made me love this man.
He grabbed my hand, pulling me up off the bench - surveying the scenery.
"Are you hungry? I am becoming hungry, are you?" He asked as he looked down at me with a little small smile on the corners of his lips. I looked around, eyeing the stands as I stopped and smiled.
"Yeah. Come on, I want you to try something." I walked along the stands, looking out for a certain one as I stood in front of one. It was a Funnel Cake stand, smaller than the others but it was the greatest one here. "Have you ever had a funnel cake?" I asked as I looked up at him. He looked back at me.
"No, actually. Looking forward to it, though." He smiled.
A woman stood in the stand, her back turned to us - the only thing I could see was her long, silky blonde hair in a ponytail.
"Hello-" She turned around, her face going into shock. I then looked up, the same going over me as she walked out from behind the stand. "Kalena?" She said quietly as she then put her arms around me in a hug. I hugged her back. "It's been so long. I-I see your photos but you're so much beautiful in person."
"Who is that?" The Doctor asked I looked back at him.
"Oh, this is my cousin - Sky Delagana." I smiled as I wiped my eyes.
"Nice to meet you. You are her..?"
"Boyfriend." He answered her somewhat drifting question - which made me somewhat blush as he owned up to it. Sky smiled greatfully and held out her hand.
"Well, welcome to the family...er...my family, I should say." I smiled and nodded at her. She went back behind the stand.
"Now, what can I get you?" She asked as I looked at the menu.
"Uh, two funnel cakes - one to go, please." The Doctor looked down at me, confusion on his face.
"To go?" He asked as I looked up at him.
"Well, yeah, for Jack."
"Who's Jack? Your child?" Sky asked with her back to us, making me blush as well as the Doctor.
"Uh, Sky, you know I can't..." I said nervously behind my shut teeth.
"Oh... yeah." She sighed.
"Jack is just a friend."
She turned around with two funnel cakes in hand, one in a bag. I put a hand in my pocket, pulling out a five dollar bill before she stopped me.
"No need. On me." She smiled and handed me the funnel cakes as we began walking back to the TARDIS.
