I wasn't a normal child. I was different than most kids. I use to get sick when I was outside playing. Something about being in the sun made me ache and my eyes would run blood like tears. We lived in a small town in Georgia. My parents were very concern and they carried me to several doctors but know one had a clue what was my illness. I had it rough but I kept it to myself and never told my friends. I use to develop rashes across my nose but didn't know why. I would try to go outside because I wanted to hang out with my friends and suffer afterwards.

I had been adopted at the age 8 and I was very grateful to have a family. I had lived in several foster homes in Columbus. I can remember all the details. Life in foster home was not good, being beaten for no reason. I was given kerosene to drink and the list goes on. I had been hospitalized on several occasions. To this day I have fears of going into basements because I was locked in basement as a young child. I was burned with a iron three different times.

Stress plays a big role when you have lupus. As you can see stress played a huge issue to me as a child but it would effect my health in my adult life. When having chronic illness stay away from stress because it can really make your health worse at a rapid pace.
