Sunlight shone through the large windows, and lit up the dark, empty hallways of the house. Not a single sound could be heard, except a mouse that was creeping along the floor. Its black eyes shot from side to side, the nose sniffing the air, trying to find something to eat. The mouse could smell something, but couldn't find where it was. Suddenly, the mouse froze. It had heard something. Loud thumps, echoing from behind a closed door. The mouse waited by the wall across the corridor. Suddenly, the door opened, and the mouse ran as fast as it could away from the person exiting the room.

Fjord stepped outside her room and yawned. The sun was already up, shining through the window. Fjord sneezed. Sleeping in a dusty bed hadn't been the most comfortable experience she could imagine. "Just great," she muttered and started to walk down the corridor. Then, a door opened up behind her, and she turned around. Behind her was Camo, who was stepping out of his room, stretching, his pale eyes staring into nothingness. "Morning," he said. "And you are?"

"I'm Fjord," she answered. "Want me to help you downstairs?"

"That'd be great, thank you," Camo said, extending his arm, which Fjord took. They walked down the stairs in silence. When they reached the bottom, Camo broke the silence. "So today we'll search the house for something that can help us, right?"

Fjord nodded, but then she remembered that he could not see her. "Yes, we'll do that today."

Camo chuckled. "Don't really see how I can help. I suppose I'll just... sit in the living room."

Fjord looked at him with pity in her eyes. "Don't worry, we'll find something for you to do!" she said enthusiastically. Right when she finished, her stomach groaned. "I suppose we haven't thought about the teeny tiny problem that we haven't eaten in cod knows how long?" Camo chuckled. Fjord smiled. "No, not really."

They walked down the hallway, towards the room they had been last night, the one with the sofas. "Well, that just means it'll be more inspiration for the others to look—"

His voice trailed off, and he sniffed the air. Fjord stopped and looked at him, concerned. "What is it?" she asked. He kept sniffing the air, frowning. "That smell..." he muttered. "Could it be..."

He started walking towards a wall, but Fjord was able to stop him. "Thanks," he said. "That smell is coming from somewhere over there."

He pointed to their right. Fjord frowned. "What smell?" she asked, confused. Camo's expression was blank. "I don't wanna get my or your hopes up, so I won't tell."

Fjord shrugged and walked over to a door to their right. "I suppose we can check it out, considering that no one is awake," she said. They walked down a new corridor, straight forward to a door. "Can you still smell it?" Fjord asked. Camo nodded. "I can smell it better."

"Weird, I can't smell any—"

She froze, as she too could smell something. A familiar smell. "It can't be," she muttered and quickened the pace towards the door, dragging Camo behind her. Fjord slammed the door open and burst inside. They were inside a large room, with large windows on the other side of it. On one of the walls was a painting of a man holding proudly up a swordfish, perhaps the same swordfish they had seen last night, like the man had just caught the pointy nosed fish. In the middle of the room was a gigantic longtable, made of wood. But what really caught Fjord's eyes and Camo's nose, was the food. The table was stuffed with all kinds of food; bread, pancakes, waffles, large bowls filled with rice, some kind of soup, fish, fruits and tons of other food. Fjord stepped over to the table, her mind blown. "What?!" she muttered, examining the table a little more. There were also drinks, water, milk, multiple kinds of juice, tea, milk and a brown substance Fjord didn't recognise. Camo felt the food, and shook. "Where on earth did all this come from?!" Fjord asked. "Has it been here since last night?!"
