CHAPTER XII
Whoosh! Flies Jerry downward delivering a hefty kick on the creature knocking it out instantly, Bryan falls next unaware the victim or perpetrator has been paralyzed to deliver his blow with Max and Milton following sharply behind him while I am alone on the tree observing when I realize the supposed threat or creature was just a girl.
"stop!" I yell at the top of my voice as the team hangs in the air then shoot their grapples away from the target
"what the hell Nineteen?" Bryan yells.
"yh I'm hungry for some meat" Max responds.
"that's a girl" I quickly say to prevent hungry and hasty Max from making a mistake and killing a living being.
The team sooner come to realization.
"oh shit you're right" Milton responds, "woah it really is" Bryan says in shock, Max just stares admiring the knocked out girl.
"I haven't seen a girl in 10 years" Max says while Jerry who seems to have noticed it was a girl the minute he landed a blow on her just stares and doesn't fringe a bit.
"so, this is what a girl smells like?" were the only words Jerry uttered as he took his leave.
I am dead drop surprised by Jerry's expression but thank the fact that he didn't strike with a hit to kill but I'm not sure I can say the same for my team.
Bryan walks up to the girl on the floor and observes her
"she's one of us" Milton says as he points towards her push back markings.
The statement surprises me because I thought females weren't allowed outside much less to fight but I was aware all people great or small had markings.
"what is she doing in the front?" Max wonders.
"let's get her cleaned up and rest her on something soft" I say hoping to sound mature.
"I'm not sharing my bed" Bryan says with a serious face on.
"No meat?" Max asks with a sad expression as he and Milton walk away leaving me and Bryan to tend to the girl
I together with Bryan carry the girl to my tent and I lay her in my portable bed.
"Great! More luggage" Bryan says as he exits the tent.
