Alexandra POV
I had landed in Rio about an hour ago. I was now sitting on my motorcycle outside of what looked like some abandoned factory. It was the correct address my family had given me. I hadn't seen my family in almost a year and here they are, on the other side of a rusted door. Gathering up all of my courage I grabbed the backpack that held my things and walked towards the entrance.
I slowly opened the door and poked my head in the building. Across the room, I saw a group of people talking and hugging each other. Gathering up all my courage I knocked on the open door bringing all the attention to myself. Everyone stopped talking and looked my way. It was silent for a moment when before aunt Mia started walking towards me.
"You came," she said opening her arms to hug me I smiled and walked towards her. We embraced each other for a few moments. We soon let go and she guided me towards the group.
When we get there I look up to see my dad's face. He smiles down at me and I run into his arms for a hug.
"I missed you so much," I said into his chest.
"I am so sorry," he says as he runs his hand over my hair.
I pull back "No, it is me who should be sorry. I'm the one-".
I was cut off by someone clearing their throat behind us. I quickly turn around and see Rico, Tego, and Han from the Dominican Republic. I also see two men and a woman who I have never met.
"Anyone car to introduce me?" I say motioning to the new people.
Brian speaks up "This is Tej and Roman" pointing each of them out to me.
My dad then interjects "And this is Gisele" motioning to the woman. I notice the woman was kind of smiling at Dad weirdly which kind of annoyed me. "Everyone this is my daughter Alexandra," Dad says to everyone.
"Alex" I correct.
"So what's this all about, Dom?" Han asks.
"Yeah, man, why did you drag us halfway around the world?" Tej adds.
"Because we got a job" Dad responds.
We all gather around a table while Brian starts to explain the job. "All right, so our target's name is Hernan Reyes. And he runs the drug scene down here. He's never been busted because he doesn't leave a paper trail" Brian says
"No paper trail means no banks and no banks mean cash houses" Gisele adds.
"That's right. Ten of them, to be exact. Spread throughout the city" Brian continues as he motions to the map spread on the table.
"And we are gonna hit the all" Dad states.
"All of them?" Tej questions.
"All of them" Dad confirms.
"That sounds crazy," Roman says as he backs away from the table. "You bring us to a whole other country so we can rob the dude who runs it? I thought this was business. Sounds personal to me. Is that what this is? I got love for y'all but personal ain't good business. I can't do this homie" he continues as he walks away from the table.
"So what we are talking about here is 100 million dollars," my dad says as everyone's eyes get big and stare at him in disbelief.
Roman stops and turns around and walks towards the table as he says "You say what? Hundred... See, sometimes I be overthinking, man, and I know we just met, but you just, kind of, got to.." I can't help but smile where I am standing between aunt Mia and my dad.
"That's right, 100 million, and everything we take, we split even," Dad says.
"So that is 10 million apiece. I am down" Tej confirms. Everyone else confirms that they are in.
