You once took the time to tell me

That what mesmerizes me for you is plenty

That the beauty of certain creations,

I will never envy because my beauty

was far more deadly.

Its been a year since you told me plenty,

And by how far has your admiration diminished already?

Has it depleted once you've learned the deadly tolls?

or have you decided to love another creature's

beauty more than your own?

Has the essence of what you told me once, vanished?

Has the fire you once burned in me perished?

I hope not.
