One week later, on the Hogwarts Express

I couldn't get his face out of my head. The way he'd looked at me that day in Diagon Alley. This was far worse than I had ever imagined. I looked out the compartment window. It was a sunny day, with a blue sky. Felt as though we didn't get many of those anymore. Ginny wasn't sitting with us in our compartment. It felt strange, I didn't like it.

Luna passed by our compartment. "Quibbler?" she asked. "Thank you," I smiled, grabbing one. I adored Luna's news. She drew all the art for the covers herself. "So what was Draco doing with that weird looking cabinet? And who were all those people? You see, it was a ceremony," Harry exclaimed. He hadn't been able to shut up about it the entire week.

"Stop it Harry, I know where you're going with this," Hermione sighed. "He's one of them," Harry said. "One of what?" Ron asked. "Harry is under the impression that Draco Malfoy is now a death eater," Hermione rolled her eyes. "He could be right," I added. "What would you know who want with someone like Malfoy?" Ron asked. "Well then what's Draco doing in Borgin and Burkes, shopping for furniture?" Harry scoffed. "It's a creepy store, he's a creepy bloke," Ron said.

"His Father is a death eater, it only makes sense," Harry said. "I agree with him, as much as I don't want to," I mumbled. "Thank you," Harry exclaimed. "I need some air," Harry grabbed my arm, taking his invisibility cloak and I out into the hallway. "What're we doing?" I asked. "Spying," he said. "I'm down, what's the plan?" "You still got that Peruvian darkness power on you?" "Sure thing," I pulled it out of my pocket. "We use it on my go," Harry nodded to me.

We walked to the door right in front of the Slytherin compartment. "Hide in the bathroom, lock the door when you're in. Go," he whispered. I tossed it into the compartment, a cloud of black smoke blocking everyone's view. Harry slipped the cloak over himself, while I slipped into the bathroom, right behind Draco's seat. I locked it slowly. "What was that?" Draco yelled. "Sit down Draco, it's probably just some first year messing around," Pansy said. I watched through the crack in the door.

Pansy sat with Venus, Draco and Blaise on the opposite side. "What a pathetic excuse for a school, I think I'd pitch myself off the astronomy tower before having to continue for another two years," Draco mumbled. I felt almost hurt by his words. He loved Hogwarts, he'd said so himself. "What's that supposed to mean?" Pansy asked. "Let's just say I don't think I'll be wasting my time in charms class next year," Draco sneered. Blaise laughed quietly.

"Amused, Blaise? We'll see just whose laughing in the end," Draco mumbled. He kept pulling his sleeve down. I hope Harry had noticed too. Draco suddenly looked up to Harry's hiding spot on the luggage compartment. Shit. Did he see him? Suddenly, the bathroom lock started rattling. I stepped backwards, my heart beating. "Why won't it open??" the kid yelled, shoving at the door. "It's probably just out of service, piss off," Draco said. The kid ran away.

Soon enough, the train arrived at Hogsmeade Station. "You three go on, I want to check something," Draco said. Oh no. Draco shut the compartment doors, rolling down all of the blinds. "Didn't Mummy ever tell you not to eavesdrop, Potter? PETRIFICUS TOTALUS," he pointed his wand, Harry's body striking the floor. I winced. Draco removed the invisibility cloak.

"Oh yeah, she was dead before you could wipe the drool off your chin," Draco kicked him across the face. I whimpered, covering my mouth to hide my breathing. "That's for my Father, enjoy your ride back to-" That's when I'd knocked something over on accident. The lock began to rattle. "Whoever you are, open the damn door," he snarled. "OPEN THE DAMN DOOR," he pounded his fists on the door. I was crying now, I couldn't catch my breath. "ALOHOMORA," he bust the door open to see my terrified expression.

I was against the wall hyperventilating, frozen in fear, tears running down my cheeks. He gave me a shocked look, as if he couldn't believe what he'd just done, then walked out, leaving Harry and I in the alone compartment.

DRACO'S POV

"OPEN THE DAMN DOOR," my fists pounded against the bathroom door. Nobody could see what I'd done to Potter. "ALOHAMORA," I pointed my wand at the lock, whipping the door open so hard it hit the wall with a crack. My anger immediately changed to sadness when I saw who it was. Caroline stared at me completely petrified, her breathing fast and tears running rapidly down her cheeks. I'd never seen her look at me that way; in fact I'd never seen her more scared in her life. I took a step forward but she flinched.

I was the reason she was terrified. Knowing that broke my heart. I ran out of the compartment with my bag onto the platform, walking swiftly to the large gate that would take me to the carriages.

CAROLINE'S POV

I sat next to Harry, as the petrification spell wore off. He finally began to move, as I helped him sit up. "I'm so sorry, I wish I could've helped," Harry sympathized. "It's not your fault," I sighed. "Your nose," I gasped. "I'll be fine," he said. That's when the door opened. "Hello Harry, Caroline. What's happened?" Luna asked, her voice filled with both curiosity and concern. "Malfoy happened," Harry mumbled.

We walked to the gate, Malfoy still rounding up his items. "About time, I've been looking all over for you three," Flitwick said. "Names?" "Professor Flitwick you've known us for five years," Harry said. "No excuses, Potter," he rolled his eyes. "Who are those people?" Luna asked, pointing at the guards. "Security," Flitwick said quietly. Draco was yelling at them, then turned to us.

"Nice face Potter," he sneered, as Snape and him walked off with his things. The amount of anger I had for him right now was inexplicable. "Would you like me to fix it for you? Personally I think you look a bit more, devil may care this way, but, it's up to you," Luna smiled. "Have you fixed a nose before?" he asked. "No, but I've done several toes, and how different are they really?" "Alright, um, give it a go," he said.

"Episkey," Luna pointed her wand at his nose, snapping it back in place. "How do I look?" he asked. "Exceptionally ordinary," she smiled at me.
