Chapter 14

"Mei...I already said sorry! Look I've already apologised please forgive me! I promise I'll treat you to crepes so forgive me!" How Mei can walk this fast, yuzu will never know as the beautiful blonde was trying to keep her pace up with Mei who looked pissed off. "I'm not angry, but you are a person and you have to learn to control yourself." Mei said this while her hair was floating up with her boiled up thoughts which just made yuzu more anxious as she felt shivers down her back. Mei stopped walking before adding. "Also, I don't know what you've been imagining but as far as I know, Himeko and I haven't crossed lines." Mei looked behind her to see yuzu who looked completely baffled. "What? But she said that she crossed a like line with you, obviously after the romantic date she planned for me that is hehe." Yuzu joked at the end to make the atmosphere less awkward and Mei sighed annoyingly while adjusting her handbag. "Himeko just did something weird to me that was forbidden in school grounds so I scolded her for that, that's all." Mei said normally and she saw that yuzu smiled like she was relieved of something. Mei closed her eyes and continued talking. "Though I assumed you wouldn't believe what she said since she was playing tricks to your mind but I honestly thought you weren't gullible enough to believe her." Yuzu didn't even let Mei take a breath as she tackled Mei from behind hugging her neck and smiled. "Great to hear!" Mei groaned as she tried to grab Yuzu's hand away but yuzu had a tight grip and snuggled into Mei's hair. "Your hand..." yuzu finally noticed this as she finally let go only to have Mei shove her hand on Yuzu's face pushing her away from her. "Get off me!" Mei put her hand away from Yuzu's face and sighed. "Ahh! My beautiful face! Wahh!"
"Just lead the way you nuisance."

"Yeah just those two crepes please." Yuzu smiles and took her purse out and pulled out her money from her wallet and payed then got the crepes from the cashier. "Thank you would you like anything else?" The cashier smiled and blushed slightly which yuzu noticed as she grinned. "Well there is one thing, and that is you but I don't see your name on the menu." Yuzu smirked as she saw the blush grow more red on her face. This town really is strange, oh well...
"Well gotta go now bye!"
Yuzu walked away chuckling to herself and made her way to Mei who was sitting down waiting patiently. "Took you long enough." Mei commented and yuzu sat down. "Ah yeah sorry about that, I was just talking to the nice cashier, I should talk to her sometime don't you think? Haha." Yuzu joked and smiled brightly as she gave Mei her crepe and yuzu began to eat hers. "So...you must have such a great dad who missed you right? I mean why else would he send dozens of letters over to you?" Yuzu smiled and looked at Mei who had a glum yet sad face on. Yuzu instantly knew what she said was a mistake and panicked as she laughed awkwardly and put a hand on Mei's shoulder to comfort. "Ahh forget what I said, I shouldn't have said that sorry! Y-you can just carry on eating haha." Yuzu was nervous but saw Mei eating her crepe in silence staring at the people outside walking past. Yuzu looked at Mei and slightly blushed as she was thinking. Oh yeah I guess I can do that indirect kiss thing with her now can't I?
"Hey Mei, that crepe looks delicious! Mind if I have a b-" Mei turned her head and Yuzu's face was priceless. She...She finished it!
"Well I guess you can have a bite of mine." Yuzu smiled goofily and she heard the chair scrape indicating that Mei's about to get up and yuzu looked nervous as soon as Mei moved closer to her and stuck her finger out swiping a bit of the crumb off Yuzu's cheek and putting it near her mouth. "Sure...I can have this sample in my hand to have." Mei licked her finger and yuzu instantly blushed hard that people would have mistaken her for a tomato.

"YUZU AIHARA!"
"Huh?" the girls looked behind them to be met up with a white lamo and soon the window rolled down to be met up with Himeko and her stern gaze. "Holy crap momokino san! You've been following us?" Yuzu's face went pale and a small dog jumped out of the window before running over to Mei who played with her. "Cmon pucchi, good girl." Mei knelt down and put her arm up for the dog to jump. "Tell me! What have you been doing to MeiMei! I will kill you for this!" Himeko went out of the car and held her finger up to Yuzu's face only for yuzu to block it with her hand. "I-umm..."
"Himeko." Both of the girls turned their heads to see Mei looking down at Himeko holding her dog and handing it to her. "Stop deceasing yuzu and leave her alone, what you are doing here is distasteful." Mei's cold aura sent shivers down himeko's spine as she trembled before apologising. "S-Sorry Mei Mei..."
"That is President for you. You manipulative..." Mei's voice suddenly turned cold before reaching her hand up getting ready to backslap Himeko as she gritted her teeth and when she reached her hand higher for a bigger impact yuzu instantly grabbed Mei's arm. "Mei! What are you doing? Haven't you gone too far?!." Yuzu panicked and looked down at Himeko who looked as if she was on the verge of crying. Yuzu looked down at Mei looking worried as she let go of Mei's arm . "Please...." Mei looked at Himeko with disgust before up at yuzu and grabbed her arm walking out. "Fine then we're going." Mei held Yuzu's arm harshly dragging her out and yuzu looked behind to see a tear fall down himeko's cheek clenching her hands at her dress.

Minutes passed and yuzu was back to her normal mood.
"Woah isn't the view amazing from here?" The girls were near their destination as yuzu was leading the way and pointed at a bush that was cut in a shape of a head. Yuzu giggled and continued to lead the way until she stepped on a path that led her to a peaceful cemetery that shown not many graves and as Mei looked up she gasped. "I...I didn't know your father passed away." Mei looked shocked and sorry for yuzu but yuzu held her hand in an reassuring way and smiled softly. "It's ok if you didn't know, the way I was talking about him couldn't help but make you realise that he was alive huh?" Yuzu let go of Mei's hand and went to a pond then got a nearby bucket and filled it with water as she walked slowly. Mei watched as yuzu went to a grave that was marked as the okogi grave. Yuzu put the bucket down and knelt down as she closed her eyes and put her hands together as she prayed and soon shortly she opened her eyes smiling looking at the grave. "Papa, I brought someone here I'd like to meet to you." Mei looked down at Yuzu who was knelt down and listened to her but soon felt a little lightheaded. "Meet my little sister Mei, yeah I know what you're thinking, that  she may not look younger than me since she's smarter and independent than me but I just want to say that..." yuzu paused as she stood up and looked down still holding her small smile. "Just like you always protected me, now I have someone to look after and protect." Mei's eyes slightly widened and heard yuzu giggled. "Well mission accomplished then, hey Mei I'm starving wanna-" yuzu was paused as Mei held a serious but soft gaze as she also knelt down closing her eyes and put her hands together suddenly feeling selfish and cruel for sulking about her dad. She did a short prayer for a deceased stepfather. Please...hold whatever strength you hold upon from heaven for I am grateful about the efforts you made.
Mei shortly got up and was met by yuzu putting both hands on Mei's arms. "M-Mei I-"
"My father..." Mei looked at Yuzu's welcoming emerald eyes that held confusion and held contact with them. "I didn't want to tell you about my father because I was scared he wouldn't help me with the school." Yuzu knew Mei opened up a bit to her that made her blush. "I-I'm sorry for worrying you about my father with my ignorance, I apologise for being a foolish stupid teenager that is also a shame to this family but please tell me...that I have a chance to meet my father?" Mei's voice sounded pleading as she looked at yuzu with worry in her eyes and yuzu was surprised. She...her voice holds to many emotions... all she wants is her dad to come back to her...
"D-don't worry, of course I will help you silly why else am I here? And also never call yourself those names again ok, you're a smart beautiful girl who deserves nothing but the world." Yuzu didn't even know what she was saying but to Mei, her words instantly relieved Mei as if her worries were off her shoulders as her worried frown slowly turned to a small smile which surprised yuzu even more as she felt her heart beating faster than usual. Her smile...is everything
"Cmon lets go home it's been quite a day."

Mei sat near a wall leaning her back on it letting her self slide the floor panted heavily as she felt hot lightheaded. Her face was flushed due to the temperature of her body as she felt her chest rising up and down from her rapid breathing. Fuck...
